Great location for a quick pick up! The place has room for lots of people to lounge and sip and the best part yet, it's located right under the bridge for people just arriving in from subway!
I hate that the new demographic of the 'hood has brought a Starbucks to us. However, can't review it without trying it, and have to be fair.
The place has a good layout, a bit different (in a very good way) from other Starbucks (kind of like Pret a Manger and Starbies had a baby), ample space, clean, plenty of natural light, though good mood lighting/window tinting to provide a chill/borderline cozy modern environment, and amazingly friendly/courteous staff.
I've never had my drink made so quickly in any Starbies. And the drink flavoring didn't suffer from it. It was perfect.
As much as I want to gripe about this place, and wish we didn't have this competition for our local businesses, I really have to give them props for running a tight, welcoming business. I'll still be supporting Mom & Pop's over them, and encourage folks to do the same. But this Starbies is actually giving the same friendly service our neighborhood deserves, and providing jobs for some hard working, diligent folk, which really helps take away from the Corporate Overlord feel most stores in this chain tend to have.
I love the location for this Starbucks. Smart having it right next to the train. This particular store is small, so there's not a lot of seating or outlets. Best time of day to go is late morning/ early afternoon for obvious reasons. The setup is pretty intuitive: it's too small to have any kind of roped off lines, but all you have to do is follow the wall and you get everything you need in order. The service staff is always very friendly and they work quickly. Good Starbucks to have on your area.
This Starbucks location is convenient but that is it. It is small compared to other Starbucks. The staff is friendly but slightly forced to be. I've only gotten the cool lime refresher and its been good. So 3 stars it is.
I came here on Sunday to do some work and I was able to snag the last available table (it was 12:30pm and the place was pretty crowded). The cappuccino I ordered was ready a minute after I paid but it wasn't that great, I should have stuck with a pike or blonde roast coffee. The staff here is friendly and I like the location of this Starbucks because there's a lot going on outside the window. If you want to come here to work I recommend getting here before noon because most of the people at the tables were working before I got there and were still there when I left (2.5 hours later).
My love and hate of Starbucks contradiction goes for this recently opened location as for most the others. On the corner (close to the subway station) it is easily accessible by walking to and at times the metered parking right outside is not as busy as one would think. They even have a wheelchair ramp. Looking from outside it's a bit dark looking in and inside it's dimly lit. the décor is nice, seems modern with it's center seating and lined window seating (stools and tables).
What I dislike about this location is that during peak hours it gets busy but not extremely busy for it took forever to get my Java Chip Frappuccino. Matter of fact there were five people waiting, not including myself. The line to order was short. And with only two people just finished ordering their drink, it's an unnecessary long wait.
I like this Starbucks because of that vibrant atmosphere of caffeine most produce and the quality of their coffee but the contradiction is that I dislike what comes with that atmosphere: all that busyness.
This location seems to keep up with the trends a bit. The shelves has organic milk (chocolate too) and I think I saw some fruit on the shelves as a couple things. The shelves are lined with a bunch of these gourmet or trendy juices/drinks, sandwiches that actually looked fresh and of course those deserts to go with the coffee.
All seems neat though.
This Starbucks is practically brand new. It looks great inside: well designed, nice modern decor, plenty of seating. Staff is great, too – but it is still a Starbucks.
