  1. A new Italian pastry shop experience?  This means I usually try their tiramisu, because it's one of my favorite desserts.
While it was good, it wasn't the best. I personally prefer my tiramisu really moist and wet (sounds gross, but yes), and the one here was a little dry, especially the top layer.

The black and white cookie was really good though. Much bigger than I expected and REALLY soft and spongy… almost like a cake.

double shot espresso … i'm not a coffee person, but my friend really liked it.

This place was a nice cozy cute place to sit and chat, but I wish they had more tables and space to sit down. I was talking with my friend and RIGHT next to us was a family  chatting loudly about something. It wasn't too bad, but I just wish there was more space.
Service was great though. The workers were really pleasant and friendly and I think the owner (not sure who he was..) was very kind to us as well.

Definitely will be back because they had so many other desserts that looked really good. Don't let my 4 star ratings deter you from going (it's just because of the tiramisu)

  2. My boyfriend (grew up in NY) recently introduced me to Conti's bakery. It was the best and worst thing he could of done. I take the 45 minute drive into New York from Jersey around the holidays because it is THE BEST BAKERY EVER! The pignoli and rainbow cookies are so fucking delicious!!! Heck, you might as well get a dozen jelly donuts for the ride home as well.

  3. I like their red velvet cake and cannolis.

  4. Sat down and ordered a double espresso and almond cookies that were as good as it gets from the lovely girls working at Conti's, and the Boston cream pie I took back from there was so good my girlfriend's rail thin 16 year old sister ate a quarter of a medium pie in one sitting. I need to watch the movie "Doughboys" now.

  5. Out of all the bakeries in the Morris park area, Conti's is hands down, the best one. I stumbled in on Father's Day once because sal and doms were sold out of the cakes I wanted. My father is a huge fan of Boston cream anything and this place had one left. Everyone in my family turned out to love it.

I recently just came back before writing this to get one more for my grandmother's birthday along with some sugar free cookies she said she enjoyed.

In the winter time I believe, they have a Nutella hot chocolate that is perfect and not overly sweet.

Their cappuccino's are made perfect from what I've had a few times so far. And the espresso is much better than Starbucks any day.

Also, each time I go in, service is quick and the girls are all very helpful and friendly.

  6. This place is an absolute must! Whether you're a Bronx resident or just a city tourist, Conti's is the hands-down best pastry shoppe around. While I wouldn't necessarily suggest a trip from midtown/downtown all the way up to Bx, Conti's is definitely worth the stop when/if in the area!

  7. I stumbled upon this place and was thoroughly pleased!

They were super friendly, introducing us to all they have to offer-coffee, pastries, cakes, cupcakes, etc.  The cakes looked SO delicious, especially the oreo and red velvet!

I decided to get a red velvet cupcake.  There was a full medium sized cupcake (which they called a mini!) and a jumbo large one.  I got the "mini" and it was only $1.50!!  Cheapest cupcake ever.  I loved the cream and shavings on top, but the cake was a bit…not hard…but not at all moist/soft.

They also had a slice of the red velvet cake (they have a couple others, such as the carrot…but sadly, not of the oreo) and it was only $3.50.  I'm lovin' this!  Will definitely be back for more.
