  1. I  really wanted to like this place but I  just cant.

The staff could stand to be a little friendlier… and this is coming from a native new yorker. I walked in and said hello to the guy behind the counter who just looked at me and then looked back at the TV (nice to see you too). Then I asked some questions about some of the teas and he just answered the bare minimum. "Well… that's black tea. And that's passion fruit tea. So, yea. You want it?" Wow thanks dude.

And we were extremely disappointed with their iced teas. My fiance's tea was bitter (possibly overbrewed) and mine was watered down and had a weird plasticy taste… Im not sure if it was the pitcher they served it from.

Nope, definitely won't be going back.

  2. They really did a good job with redecorating this space. It looks like a combo of boutique, library, and snooty cafe all in one. They have a nice selection of teas and nosh offerings and they have gluten free chocolate chip cookies (!!!). My one complaint is that the hot water inside the pot that was served to E and me was lukewarm and on a really cold day, you just want to burn your tongue and warm your hands around a nice beverage.

1 star for location (1 block away from my apt)
    1 star for aesthetics
1 star for gfree items on the menu

I'm coming back to try their other teas.
