This is not your usual Starbucks in the city! This is Starbucks in Little Russia!
Expect to meet some shady people inside, as well as to see a weird crowd hanging outside.
This is also officially the slowest Starbucks on the planet. There is always no milk, no nothing. Restroom is a mess most of the time.
I'm not sure how Starbucks inspects their location, but either they don't know this one exists, or somehow it got off their roster, because this particular Coffee shop is a complete disaster!
I'm a Manhattanite. Now that you know this, I can tell you that this particular location in Brooklyn gave me complete culture shock! Until I spotted the Starbucks across the street. It was like a tiny piece of civilization in the midst of what I believed to be the nexus of the universe.
Inside, it was like I was back on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Great interior, plenty of seats. I initially came in to use the restroom and observed that the line for beverages moved fairly quickly. The restroom wasn't that great but it served its purpose and was clean for the most part!
Hooray for Starbucks!
I really have seen major improvements to this location. Nice new seating and couchws have been added , wifi is quick and efficient, theres tons of new foods added from grilled cheese sandwhiches to new salads fruit packets and various yogurts and food platters along with various pastries and cake pops! I also love the new various types of coffee blends from many different countries and frappucinos and my favorite the shaken iced teas. I got the blackberry mojito and it was super refreshing and i look forward to trying the green tea peach lemonade next. Best of all the staff was super friendly and helpful, but this location is so busy that there isnt enough staff on weekends to make drinks. I also saw that the bathroom was out of order which is a fail for a coffee shop since coffee and tea makes people pee a lot! Will i be back here? Hells yeah!
Typical starbucks, but the wait was too long. The drinks were consistent with starbucks quality and the staff was friendly.
dont try driving here.. there is no parking
Cool little spot with plenty of sitting space. I couldnt find a place to eat in the neighborhood other than pizza ugghh! I walked up and down the avenue and was not satisfied with the selections so I ended up here, old reliable.
I grabbed a sandwich and ordered my regular now I know what I am getting here.
Staff was friendly and kind. Definitely would return when back in the neighborhood.
I prefer this Starbucks over many because it's not as crowded. The limited amount of seats might have something to do with it. Just pick up my order and go without pushing or being shoved to get the sugar packets.
So of course, every time I scour a new neighborhood, whether or not I'm living there or just visiting, I always take the time to find the nearest starbucks. Although this starbucks is a little far away from where I'm staying when I'm on Brighton Beach, I still make the trip down and even will take the train from here, especially in the morning when I need my coffee fix before heading to Manhattan.
The hours are good, typical starbucks. The baristas are friendly, and actually listen when you give your order. I've never had an issue with my drink, which is great. They do have a restroom which can occasionally be icky, because it is very popular, but they do their best to keep it clean. Otherwise the place is busy, there are both tables and a counter seating area, as well as the bar which sits facing the window and the street.
Overall, I will continue to come here, not just because it is right outside the train station but because of the great service I get!
I'm not the type of person to give a Starbucks a 5-star rating (well, okay, maybe one or two that have excellent service, plenty of seats, and always make my drink perfectly – so… maybe only one), but this Starbucks is different than the norm. Settled by the pier of Coney Island, I'd expect it to be busy (it was), but I only had one person in front of me in line, my drink and bagel came out quickly (and made properly), and the two different seating areas meant I actually managed to grab a seat (there were even a few open). There were also outlets near every table I saw, and some cool new cordless charging device using rings that I didn't try but plan to return and try in the future (I'm a sucker for new technology).
Whatever bad experiences people may have had here did not happen to me – the staff was friendly, and everyone was as expected for a Starbucks (unless you count my finding a seat, which I suppose is a little unexpected).
