Who woulda thunk it that the best babo I've had in NJ among the numerous Asian shops popping up everywhere is from a place called Robert's in Bayonne?
None of those cheap, watery, over-sweetened bubble tea or shakes here, Robert's Cafe offers thick, frothy and delicious drinks. I've tried most of the flavored and they are all worth a recommendation.
Another plus for those who work there. Very friendly bunch.
I love small homey places like this. Great coffees and pastries and a lovely atmosphere.
A sign, a sign, can I get a sign?
I walked right past this place without seeing a sign twice.
Fortunately I finally noticed the coffee cups on the wall by peering in.
The service here is simple, take your order, you grab a seat and you chat with your friends until they bring the drinks out to you – a simple hot chocolate was done well, with a touch of whipped cream on top, just thick enough to cover the drink, but not overwhelm.
If they actually put up a sign, they might get better business!
