  1. I'm not picky when it comes to places to buy wine–but it's nice having an official wine store in Crown Heights. I've stopped by twice now and both times have left with a nice bottle that I was happy with. The wines are shelved by region and there are a few bottles under $12 for us cheapos. Service has always been friendly and they are open until late.

  2. I am no wine expert but I know a thing or two about excellent customer service. My friend and I walked in 30 minutes before they closed at 11pm on a Saturday night. The staffer was very knowledgeable about their selection and how different wines complemented occasions or meals. When I saw the inexpensive to moderate prices for these wines, I could not believe my eyes. He even told us that they even help dinner party guests identify what to bring so they don't leave home empty-handed. Genius! As an amateur, I appreciate their efforts to really educate and strive to meet customer needs. There was even a book on the shelf for newbies like myself to the wine club. I feel that I can trust their expertise to guide me whenever I need to buy a bottle as a gift. Keep up the great work Winot!

  3. I had a great experience at this establishment. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted but the guy that worked there was very knowledgeable about the wines they had and helped me with 2 great choices.

  4. Their selection of wines is hit or miss. I like to be able to just go to a store, pick up the most attractive label or two, and sample and explore for myself. Most times they get it right, but there are some duds in the pack. They have a wide variety of wines from the Old World plus the New, and they are right across the street from the train station. Prices are decent, as they range from $10-$13 on the discount table in the middle going up to $30-$40 on their shelves. I usually pick up a red and a white and end up paying in the $40 range for the two. Service is touchy, a little snooty at times, so I limit my visits to this place for when I'm not only in the area, but just when I need something quick.
