I was so impressed by this chic, new wine shop in Flatiron. I purchased super cheap tickets to a wine tasting class via Living Social and wasn't expecting much, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. The wine shop itself is large and beautiful, they have floor to ceiling book shelves with a large selection of wines. Our sommelier was witty and engaging. And although I wasn't too fond of the wines we tried, the class itself was organized and the decor was gorgeous. I will definitely try another class and stop by for a bottle of wine when I am in the area.
This place has pros and cons. It is nicely laid out and has an interesting selection of wines and spirits. I was happy to see that they carry Greenhook Gin which is a favorite of mine. But I thought that the overall selection of product was limited.
They have an event space in the back of the store – I was there for a spirits tasting. I was inclined to purchase a bottle or two to take home but I saw no displays out front. I imagine they had some product stashed under the checkout counter. It could have been handled better.
If I worked in the area, I would be back to review more of the wines. So a cheap four stars.

Delicious wines. Incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Good prices for what you're getting (service and all). And great classes!
