  1. Yummy new ice concoction. The selection is limited and you're limited with what you can add on top of shaved ice. I was confused. Why can't I add what I want because I'll pay for extra toppings I found the menu confusing but cashier was helpful. Small store with a few tiny tables. My small ended costing more than the large because I chose toppings that were allowed.  Sounds confusing? So was I.

  2. A different take on Ice Cream thats fun and different (if a bit pricey). Shaved ice cream is lighter and "fluffier" in the bowl, and there's an Asian influence to the flavors and toppings (matcha and pocky sticks). The only downside is price; a small is $6, and toppings add onto that. Best to share a large (Yetti) size. With Shake Shack, this place, and a "rolled" ice cream place opening up soon all on the same block the frozen dessert scene in Forest Hills is heating up; it would be nice to see this place survive.

  3. I always forget how great Forest Hills is. With all the food options, stores that are great to cool off in as I walk up and down the blocks and now Snowdays. I came in here after brunch with my friend and we just beat the crowd in, so we were able to take our time to decide. I've been to all of their locations at this point, so I knew what to expect, but with a new location, you just never know.

We were pleasantly greeted and never felt rushed. Even though we've been here multiple times, it still took us some time to decide, but they not once looked at us like we were crazy or tried to force us to order. The shaved cream is just as good as all the other locations – one great thing is consistency. No matter which location you go, you'll know you're getting something good. No complaints with our desserts and 5 Stars plus for the staff.

I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, but it was the manager of the Flushing location who took care of us and you were awesome. Definitely keep the standards high across all the Snowdays locations. If you haven't had a chance to check this place out, you're missing out!

  4. I've been here a few times already since they opened on Memorial day.
I'm so glad they opened a store in Forest Hills!  I love their flavors and their secret flavors. I've even turned a few new friends onto this shaved cream and they're like, "where has this been all my life?!"

I'm a fan and a follower on Instagram, but every time they post they have the Exclusive Taro flavor and I go, it's gone.  I ask about it every time.

Also two times that I came, the AC wasn't working.  What's up with that?  The same thing's been happening at the Flushing location.  Has anyone else noticed that?  It's sporadic and random, but why does the AC not work especially on HOT days.  I can't get out of the store fast enough before my shaved cream melts.

  5. I was very excited about trying this new business in my hood. My mother and I visited one hot, humid and hazy Sunday and it wasn't crowded when we first arrived. The reason I deducted one star was because the AC wasn't strong enough to keep the small store cool. It was a bit warm but that didn't stop us from sitting and enjoying our dessert. However, while we sat and ate our dessert the line was very long.  The server, Maury was very sweet and helpful as she explained how the dessert item was made and what you can add. Maury gave us her recommendations and then invited us to watch the workers make the dessert which was cool.  The customer service was great and everyone was very friendly to us newbies.

I ordered the regular sized lychee with strawberry and had some M&M's, sprinkles, chocolate and an Oreo cookie as my toppings since they were unlimited. My mom had the original vanilla with chocolate sauce and hers was good but was too traditional and reminded me of everyday flavors that I taste in other ice-cream shops. When you're trying a new food/dessert you should go all out and experiment, LOL. The sizes were very fulfilling and can be shared but we both ate every drop of our desserts. I will definitely return and check out some other menu items.

  6. I was totally unaware of Snowdays so you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to discover this sweet treat.

The location opened back on May 27th of this year and  is quite quaint but matching in characteristics to the neighborhood. It joined several other existing loactions in Flushing and East Village which is the flagship which opened about 2yrs ago.

Upon enetering the store seems quite small but it works. If you have a small group and want to sit in. Tables comfortably host about 3 adults and there are about 5 of those and then there are benches against the wall.

Now for the deets on the treats. Firstly, Snowdays IS NOT a shaved ice shop. It is shaved cream shop. The cream is shaved to deliver the same texture as fresh   coat of snow. All items on the menu were originally created and are made to order so there is mo sampling but don't worry, you'll be glad with it.

Toppings range from healthy options such a nuts, fruits and even a vegan option (Almond Joy) to
cookies, candies , cereal, chocolate covered pretzle sticks, wafers and syrups.

My personal fave is the Almond Joy which has a coconut vegan base. You don't miss the dairy at all. It was still sweet, savory and rich enough to deliver the kick.

While you're in check out there iced drink options. So refreshing.  I tried the Iced Matcha Latte and it kocks Bubble Tea's ass.

Anwar the manager seems like a great guy who just wants to see the business win and the customers happy and I loved that he and his partners hired a manager who lives right there.

Overall, this is a shaved piece of heaven on earth. Portions are huge (see pic of size cups) and you'll be sinfully taken under by the delicious concoctions. Be prepared to work  the calories off the next day. Lol

  7. I did not know that this location was open! My friend, fiancé & i were in the neighborhood so we decided to stop by.
I love the snowdays in flushing so i was expecting the same here. Totally the same! Its clean, the service is fast & they got my order right. They also have a cute little fridge with drinks in case you want one. I absolutely love the presentation of the shaved ice. Snowdays is worth the try!

  8. I was totally unaware that this place had popped up, such a great location if you're in the area for drinks/dinner and wanted to grab some desserts after. I came here to attend a Yelp elite event 🙂 I've been to Snowdays before so I was pretty familiar with their menu; I always go for the "Made in Taiwan"  (which has green tea and black sesame shaved cream) but I figure I should try something new. I had the pleasure to meet one of the owners, Dewan, who was super sweet and recommended the Yettitrack shaved cream instead.

I got myself a regular sized Yettitracks with strawberries, grass jelly, mochi and blueberry drizzle. The Yettitrack has a vanilla flavor and I  must say it is pretty good, although might be too much on the sweet side for me. It was also my first time trying to blueberry drizzle, and I honestly couldn't get enough of it! Definitely getting that as a drizzle next time instead of my usual condensed milk. In the end, the green tea and black sesame are still my favorite. If you are a person that doesn't like the clash of flavors, you should combine the Yettitracks with another one because it literally goes with all the other flavors nicely.

We also got to try Snowdays' new drinks, which have not been officially on the menu yet; I love being guinea pigs for food! LOL They have 3 flavors: 1) matcha 2) vietnamese coffee 3) thai ice tea. I decided to get the Thai Ice Tea after Dewan had promised that the tea are not the usual "Americanized" Thai Ice Tea that we usually taste and that  they use actual tea leaves that were carefully sourced for quality. I am happy to say that the tea lived up to my expectation. When you go to Thai restaurants these days, "Thai Ice Tea" are usually way wayyyy too sweet; each gulp is a literally gulp of sugar and milk and you lose that actual tea flavor that everyone seems to have forgotten about. Snowdays' Thai Ice Tea still has that "tea flavor" and you can actually taste the tea flavor; it was also not too sweet which I highly appreciate. So make sure you check it out, I promise it won't disappoint you! I can't wait to try the other 2 flavors! 😀
