I stopped by this place on the way back from Pizzeria Del Corso the other day, as I didn't feel like overpaying for dessert. T&D has a nice selection of items for sure, but not everything looked that good or fresh. Maybe it was just that it was the end of the day, but for instance the pignoli cookies looked very old. I decided to play it safe and get like a third of a pound of rainbow cookies, while I spotted my friends for some filled pastries (forget what they were exactly). They loved their pastries, but I found the rainbow cookies to be pretty run of the mill. They were very thin, dry, and didn't have that much flavor. They weren't bad necessarily as I just wanted something, but not something worth bothering with next time as I have plenty of places that blow T&D out of the water.
Service is okay here but the bakery goods are pretty good.
I'm a huge fan of their rainbow cookies – 3 thin cakelike layers of cookie layered with jam & sandwiched in between 2 layers of chocolate. Yum!
