Pinkberry

“I've been to a few froyo places where their fruit toppings did not look appealing – definitely a tastebud turnoff.”

“Usually I get a seat in this one than others and am next to an Urban Outfitters across the street, so it's pretty good for that purpose.”

“You can get unlimited toppings, as long as they fit in the cup, for one fixed prices which better than the uncertainty you get with places that weigh them.”

  1. Really nothing special.  It's your typical frozen yogurt place.  The yogurt flavors are pretty average Joe.  The strawberry pomegranate smoothie was all right, even though it tasted more like strawberry banana.

  2. Reliable and refreshing. Froyo is pretty decent with nice toppings, although limited flavors and options.

  3. My problem with Pinkberry is not so much with the location but with the business model. Why say unlimited toppings that "can fit in the cup" then stop me at 4 toppings and give me skimpy portions? Especially when there's more space in the cup. Don't be cheap now.

Toppings are also very limited. While the froyo flavors are delicious (check out salted caramel), they have maybe 4 different fruits and about 6-8 other toppings (chocolate chips, brownie bites, coconut flakes, etc.)

This location in particular does have a few flaws. It's unbearably cold – like North Pole, Iceland, Alaska, women in an office space, skinny dipping in the winter cold. The toppings and froyo are kept chilled separately so why is it like an icebox in here?

The garbage can overflows sometimes. The layout of the store is weird, why have the napkins and utensils by the ordering line? It's a small enough space as it is.

Red Mango is kicking Pinkberry out of the game.

  4. Shakes and frozen yogurt.  What I liked most about Pinkberry was it wasn't self-serve.  We ended up with a strawberry pomegranate smoothie, which was nothing special what-so-ever.  The selection was larger than I'd typically see outside the city, but merely average once I ventured to a few other shops later in the day.  As for the prices, in line with expectations and not out of line enough in either direction to highlight.

  5. Pinkberry is great, but I also feel guilty about going to a chain when there are so many other ice cream places in the city. Still it's in a great location and gets a lot of business because it's at the intersection of 14th and 6th.

  6. Everyone knows what pinkberry is and tastes like, so no need to review on that

The reason this one gets 4 stars is because they HOOK IT UP on the toppings. Generous toppings, toppings upon toppings, they give you toppings like its going outta style!

-1 star because tables arent really cleaned regularly, but other than that wheee!

  7. PINKBERRY is a heaven. Their flavors are super fresh and toppings are all fresh and wiiiiide variety from fruits to cereals and waffle cones

I have no complaints except that when I walked up to the counter I asked to TRY two flavors and the guy gave them both to me in the cup as if I ordered it. I was too hungry to fix that so I ended up with half original (amazing) half coconut (ehhhhhh) with strawberries and dark chocolate crisps. YUM

The woman ringing me up also gave me a pinkberry card so now I can rack up points towards a freebie

  8. I like Pinkberry, but didn't realize how expensive it is until my recent visit. I had a small side-by-side swirl of cookies n' cream and non-dairy coconut (its newest flavor) with toppings, and my total came out to be $6+. That is quite pricey for a small frozen yogurt that lasted 10 minutes of happiness in my mouth.

I did enjoy the sweet and creamy yogurt with slight tartiness. The coconut froyo had pretty intense coconut flavors that I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked that Pinkberry doesn't charge extra for additional toppings, and that you can choose as many variety of toppings as you want, whether it be strawberries, kiwi, mocha, cereal, almonds, etc. However, given the small size of the cup, you can only pack so much.

Again, I like Pinkberry but it's way too expensive for what you get.
