What a clean and organized store! I work in the area, so I have never been here to do grocery shopping, but have been here to grab lunch. Their produce section always looks fresh when I walk in. I always wish I could buy produce here, but I live too far away to carry it all! I have tried a few things in their prepared foods section like the lasagna and the mac and cheese- both were really good and they heat them up for you if you like. They also have a Veggie Box where you can get three different types of prepared veggies. I haven't actually tried it, but I have seen a couple of friends order it and the veggies always look and smell really fresh. They have a large selection of bottled drinks, ones I have never seen before too. Their bakery section is amazing and I always want to eat everything! I tried a scone from here once and it was delicious. They even have a rewards program where you can get a store card and accumulate points for either free or discount stuff (I can't remember which!). If you're in the area, stop in and check it out- it is not your average grocery store.
This grocery store deserves all 5 stars!
The staff is super friendly and they are constantly cleaning and stocking up the store to make sure it is perfect at all times.
Everyone smiles, the selection is a bit pricier but the quality is a lot higher than your normal corner grocery store.
If you want to buy something good for your body, this is the place!
It's a pricey place to shop and by lunch for sure. If you can afford it though, the deli is quite good. When I feel like splurging on lunch, this is the place I go. Roasted brussels sprouts…yes please.
They have decent produce as well for the days when I watch the waist line and checkbook. I bought an apple, an orange, a plum and a nectarine for a total of $3.15. The only piece I tossed in the trash after a few bites was the plum. Plum had that hard/soft patchy thing going on inside. Some parts really good and juicy, other parts harder and unripe. Not a knock on the place, just saying I don't dig on fruit if it ain't choice. Apple hit the spot, nectarine not so bad either. Orange was kinda eh too.
Seriously overpriced, double or triple the prices in the outer boroughs for little reason but very good location, marketing, and clean interior. Same products as usual stores, better presentation. Symbolizes so much of Manhattan life.
Has a coffee shop inside. Also overpriced.
Brooklyn Fare is a specialty grocery store that carries a good mix of staples and hard to find products. It's a great neighborhood spot, with their only other location being in downtown Brooklyn. I've found their produce to be fresh, and they carry baked goods from Dough and Balthazar! Also, their fresh guacamole and selection of cheeses are on point.
Really nice selection of groceries here. Clean store, well-organized. It is a small grocery store in midtown west so it can be pricey (especially produce) but they often have store sales/specials and have good deals!
They have a nice variety of specialty/gourmet items. Almost like a mini Whole Foods. It's never too crowded and the cashiers are all very efficient. The only time there was a wicked line was before a snow storm.
There is also a nice prepared food section, bakery and alcohol selection.
If you live in the neighborhood, Brooklyn Fare is definitely a great place to get some groceries. I personally make my "big" grocery trips at Trader Joe's and fill in the gaps with anything I need in between my Trader Joe trips at Brooklyn Fare. Remember to get the points/rewards card. I think it is $1 per point, and $10 reward every 100 points? I don't remember exactly, but why not earn points anyway.
This is my new favorite grocery store! First of all, I really can't think of HOW they pack everything in! the space looks small at first but after you turn left at what seems like a dead end – a whole new world!
I stumbled across this grocery store while trying to buy milk and ended up carrying 10 yogurt cups, clementines and beef stew chunks. The chobani yogurt was on sale at 10 for $10 – sold! Clementines and beef chunks mainly because they looked fresh.
I feel like this store has everything I'll ever need in the grocery category and half of the store seemed like it was on sale.
I made sure that I got a loyalty card because I'm definitely coming back!
This place reminds me of a boutique whole foods but with an ambience that resembles trader joes. I still prefer whole foods for the bigger selection, but BF seems to be the best grocery store I've found in the neighborhood. Prices are high for sure, but everything is very high quality. I've also had a sandwich from the deli section, and it was very tasty, would highly recommend it!
Also, the scanning system is messed up. My salmon turned into "turkey" and several other items were mislabeled as well. The good thing is the prices aren't messed up, just the names. This problem should definitely be fixed as it can cause quite a bit of confusion.
