  1. If your looking for a nice cozy place to grab a hot cup of coffee, look no further! I love good coffee as much as I love good craft beer. Beats Dunkin Donuts any day. Not only do I enjoy the coffee I love the fact that it doesn't make you crash afterwards. It's priced competitively to in comparison to most coffee places.

This place is relatively new and the owner is still trying to expand. He offers some pastries and other treats as well. The best part of all is this place is right on the corner of my block do not even need to jump in the car. If your living in Mcginley Square Jersey City, you will definitely appreciate this place. It's a great community addition.

  2. In an area of JC that is seriously lacking in coffee, Harry Street Coffee brings much needed relief to the caffeine-addicted. You'll probably walk right past it and not even realize it was there (HSC is located in the basement of a residential building), but definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

The ambiance makes you feel as if you are in someone's basement in quite a good way; the furnishings are all quirky, mismatched, and have an old-fashioned feel. When we arrived on a late Sunday morning, a few people were lounging inside, but there were also a few seats outside.

They offer a cute selection of pastries and sweets, but most importantly, coffee. There wasn't a menu available anywhere when I visited, but they had iced coffee, which was all I really needed. No prices are listed anywhere either, but it was very reasonable priced. They also accept credit cards and have free wifi, which is a major perk.

New favorite spot for coffee in Journal Square? I think so!

  3. This place is a really cute spot for coffee or tea. They also have some baked goods. I really wanted to try the carrot cake that looked amazing in some of their pictures. Unfortunately they were out. My boyfriend ordered a cappuccino and I ordered a peach tea. They were both quite good! There is indoor seating and the decor is flea market/your grandmothers porch. There is tons of art in the shop which is really good. The server was sweet and quick to make our drinks. There is free wifi here if you need it. The location is right on the corner of the street. It is just a 5 min walk from our apartment so we will definitely be stopping by more often on the weekends! The space is surprisingly large in there. They also seem to have to antiques for sale along with some jams and other snacks and bottled drinks.

  4. Love that we finally have a neighborhood coffee shop!

Decor and space is so lovely.  Surprisingly big space if you are meeting up with people.

Got their chocolate croissant and a cappuccino and really enjoyed sitting outside.  The croissant was good, and the cap was strong.  However nothing to really write home about…although I think they can easily improve with better espresso beans or roasting method.

Staff is awesome, super friendly and easy to chat with.

I love this neighborhood and desperately want HCS to do well, and I think they will bc they just need some minor fine tuning.

Regardless, welcome to the neighborhood HSC!!!
