  1. My favorite store in the neighborhood! It's been amazing having Urban Market right next to my apartment. I stop in on my way home at least 3 times a week. So nice to just be able to pick up the things I need as I need them, rather than doing a big weekly shop!

They have great specials, and even when things aren't on sale the prices are very reasonable. MUCH better than other grocery stores in the area. Good selection, I pretty much find everything I need here. Produce and meat always seem fresh and well-stocked. Nice beer selection too, which is actually a problem for me because I buy way too much beer now!

Friendly cashiers and I never have to wait too long in line!

  2. First time visiting the store. Read reviews that it was more reasonable price than foodcellar. They jave a nice selection of cheese and craft beer. Came to the store looking for smoke salmon and was looking to deli catering service for a future office party. Found out that they dont offer catering at the moment. Small selection of smoke salmon. Found the store to be clear and the food was fresh. They offer breakfast which is nice.

  3. It's a bright and clean market that has many options. I was looking for a drink and that's it. I see two sections as I enter for drinks. I saw the Naked Juice which they have a good handful to a dozen variety of that drink and other healthy choices available. It was advertised on sale and during checkout I think I got charged full price. I didn't notice until after I left and I didn't have the time to worry about as I was with a bunch of people. But the checkout girl seemed nice enough.

The place does have some unique items like sushi and baked good. I would definitely come back because there's not many markets in the area.

The bonus and good thing about the place is they have a rest room.

Wish I had more time to explore more or a regular at this supermarket but I'm not, been here only twice for short moments.

  4. Thank God. It's affiliated with Keyfood (so you have relatively decent prices – at least more reasonable than Food Cellar), but the store itself and quality of its products are 100x more appealing and presentable than that run-down POS god-forsaken Keyfood in Court Square. It being just around the block doesn't hurt either, but yeah, just infinity glad this store opened up.

  5. Bottom Line:
    – KEY FOODS IN DISGUISE
    – THEY RIP YOU OFF ON THE PRICE AT THE REGISTER

Honestly, for a Key Foods, Urban Market is pretty nice. It's not a bad place to shop EXCEPT for one thing. They rip people off with their prices. This has happened to me a number of times I've gone shopping and so I honestly avoid purchasing groceries here if I have to.

This is what they do. A number of items at Urban Market are marked as 2 for $5 or they'll have a special promotional price such as $2.50 for cookies. However, when you get to the checkout counter, they never register the promotional price and almost always charge you full price. Luckily, I've gotten wise to their tricks and I pay attention to when they're ringing me up.

Just be careful when you shop here.

  6. I like the variety and there are some items that I will be getting from here. But a random item in the shelf is really expensive. It seems OK for produce

  7. I was so happy to see another food store open in the neighborhood besides the overpriced food cellar down the road. So far my experiences have definitely been hit or miss. There are times that I have gotten extremely fresh produce that was absolutely delicious and times that everything went bad within a day. I think the best thing to do is find out what days they receive deliveries so I can get items as soon as they arrive. Overall, it is still definitely better priced for the essential items compared to other neighborhoods delis and stores.
