  1. Really good Italian pastries! Greeat cookies and all is super fresh. The young guy working behind the counter is super helpful and friendly. He will give you a sample if you want to taste before buying. Parking at the side of the building.

Worth stopping by here when you are in the area.

  2. Best italian pastries in the area. Have a cannoli craving? Need an emergency cookies? Your mother needs italian ices, NOW? This is the place to go.

My boyfriend introduced me to lyndhurst pastry shop a couple of years ago. It was a superbowl sunday emergency. Unusual for me, I actually did not prepare something to bring with me to the party. I decided we just needed to go to a bakery and pick something up. My boyfriend said we needed to go to "his" bakery, the bakery he grew up with. As this was an emergency, I wasn't about to argue. And they were open. We got our cupcakes (done in superbowl colors) and went to our party. They were a hit! In fact, every year for the superbowl party, it's requested we bring these cupcakes.

Family parties, we go here for cookies. Especially Pignolis. Cannolis? Of course, here. I've never had the italian ices, but during the summer, there is quite a line for ices, so I imagine they're good.

The staff there is friendly and fast. Lyndhurst, we'll be seeing you soon! Superbowl sunday is just around the corner!

  3. Ok for those of you who know and love strollos down the shore, north jersey now has a match!  This will now be my new Italian Ice spot.  I love when Italian ice has a creamier texture and this place got it!!! I tried a few different flavors- roman holiday , mango , and mint chocolate chip.   They were all great.   I ended up with a large mint choc chip and I wanted more!!! Italian ice is only served outside.  They have some benches to sit on.  1.50 for a small 2 for a large.   It's located right next to kingsland train station and u can find parking right on the street.   Ps- yum yum flavor is just vanilla.     I can't wait to bring all my ice cream lover friends here!

  4. I am from central Jersey, but my friend lives up north and compared this place to Strollo's in Belmar.  I would say they are similar but would definitely choose Strollo's first. I had Island Sunset (mix of different fruit flavors) and lemon. It's a little bit more of a creamy ice compared to regular Italian ice. I also tried mint chocolate chip and chocolate which was good but prefer flavors like that as ice cream and not ice. Prices are too too..$1.50 for small and $2 for large. Ices can only be purchased outside but they do have benches to sit at and enjoy your ice!!

  5. The best Italian pastries in the area!

I originally came here for Italian ice, but decided to stroll inside the bakery. Ended up getting a small canoli! Which was out of this world, and I still can't believe it's only $1.20 each. The Italian ice was so different than others I have tried. I got a small cup, canoli cream flavor. It tastes so soft, you can't even feel the coarse ice-y water in it. Totally redefined my standards of Italian ice!

  6. I have been coming here since I was a little girl with my dad for italian ice in the summer. I cannot say enough good things about them and the yum yum vanilla. They have plenty of seating outside to enjoy your favorite ice and don't rush you or care if you make a mess.

The pastries are good too, my mom is always happy when we bring home a little surprise! I crave this and hope for summer all year long!

  7. The interesting thing about the Lyndhurst Pastry Shop is that, while I'm easily slipping them 5 Stars, I've never actually had any of their pastry. And, while I'm sure it's good, what keeps me and a whole hell of a lot of other people coming back year after year are their world class Italian Ices. To be even more specific, their audaciously named Yum Yum or as we common folk call it, vanilla is the best I've ever had and folks, I'm pretty much of an ice fanatic. It's creamy, smooth, delicious and just about every other superlative I'm able to muster. Simply said, delicious. If you haven't experienced them, I suggest one summer afternoon heading over there. Go to the window outside, place your order and prepare to be very, very happy.

  8. WOW this review is strictly for the Italian ice! I absolutely loved the yum yum (vanilla) and chocolate ice. So fresh and tasty. The perfect cool treat for a hot day. MUST TRY!

All the ices are made on site.
