I love Dunkin Donuts, maybe more than Starbucks (which I always found to be overpriced anyway). However, every Dunkin Donut does offer a different quality of service. The food and coffee is relatively consistent from one location to the next, but I have to review this particular one because I was that satisfied with the service. For one, the speed of service is extremely fast. You get in, and then you're out in no time. There's no cashier fooling around in the back wasting your precious time. I order my coffee and bagel combo, and the coffee is in my hand in less than 1 minute. Bagel is all toasted and slathered in cream cheese within 2-3 minutes. I have never experienced such fast service from a Dunkin Donuts other than from this one. The coffee was perfect, just the right amount of cream and Splenda. The bagel was toasted just right and not drowning in pounds of cream cheese. Highly satisfied with this Dunkin Donuts. It's also in a convenient location for those who are getting on/off the highway/Holland Tunnel, but if there is a heavy traffic (which happens quite often during rush hour), might be very hard to turn into this DD and exit.
I like D&D. I prefer their coffee over Starbucks. This store is ok if your passing by. I stop here when I am working nearby, my car is usually parked elsewhere so I don't have to deal with their lot. . Their parking lot is too small and there's no street parking unless you find something on nearby Erie Street. I gets a little hairy sometimes because of the Hollland Tunnel exit traffic. There is another D&D about two blocks north, inside the Tiger Mart, that is much easier to get in and out of the parking lot.
How can you go wrong with a place thats open 24/7 and the people that work there still greet you with a smile after working all night! This dunkin donut is clean, the people are nice, and it smells great inside.
If you love coffee, which i just started drinking a month ago, then you will love iced hazelnut coffee with cream and no sugar. Why did I choose this combo? Hazelnut is their best flavor by far, iced because it wakes u up in the morning or refreshes you in the hot afternoon, coffee because supposedly studies have shown that caffeine is good for you in doses and helps you think at work. No sugar because "sugar" is bad for you 😉 and cream because I love cream. haha! Enjoy!
p.s. Get their hashbrowns, its a dollar and you get like 10 pcs and its super crispy! America Runs on Dunkin!
Coming out of the Holland Tunnel, this is off to the left, between Grove & Erie, and hard to see and get to on the far south side of the road. They usually have a guy flagging people in during the morning.
A fairly big store, right beside the Port Authority police/staff station. Go figure. Service is quick, and efficient, though. The parking lot is small, and getting out onto 78W can be a real pain.
