As a popular salad lover among my friends, they always ask me where is my favorite salad spot? I answer, the deli store on Hudson Street in TriBeCa!
I used to work around here so I had the opportunity to try the toss salad they offer here. During lunch time like 12:00 PM to 1:00PM, the salad line is long! Basically, you choose which base greens you would like then they charge you for any ingredients you add. Since I like a lot of things in my salad, ,my typical salad lunch always turn out to be around $8.50 which is not bad for TriBeCa area!
It is my favorite salad spot because every thing was so fresh, organic, and yet crispy especially the mixed greens lettuce. They will toss and chop the salad for you right there. The guys behind the salad bar really take their time to perfect the salad so be very happy that they do! Another reason why it impressed me so much is that, I tried eating the salad without dressing… and it still tasted amazing! If you can eat salad without the additional dressing, you know it is a salad worth eating and indeed this random deli on Hudson Street won me over! My co-workers and I have all agreed that this is our favorite salad spot and so far no one have taken its place! No one can guess that this deli can produce such a great salad dish not even myself!!!
