  1. The Macadamian cookies. My new crack, lol. So addictive. This house sabotaged my diet. Oops! If you don't love fresh baked cookies, than you don't know what you're missing.

  2. omgosh i love this place..

when i was younger, it was too expensive to get the whole pound so we'd usually only get a few cookies in that plain white bag 🙁

Now that i am older, the cookies are more expensive, but i get myself the bag that represents where i got the cookies from =)*

The chocolate chip are my favorite, but they have chocolate chip with peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, etc and they always taste so homemade. There's usually a line, but it's worth it! I prefer them to be a little chewier, but many times they are more crispy. BUT what is cool about them is that you can leave them for a few days and they soften so they are still delicious even if you have a lapse in memory! 🙂

The bf hates going to KP, but i like to come here and Gretel's pretzels for my overly expensive snacks 🙂

    *proud 🙂

  3. ::yesterday standing in front of Cookie House with my friend Marissa::

Me: "How many cookies you want Missa?"

Marissa: "One peanut butter is fine."

Me: "Are you kidding me?! Get two so you can get your own bag and not contaminate my cookies with peanut butter."

Marissa: "I'm not that hungry it's fine."

Me: "Hi! Yes, I'd like four chocolate chip, two macadamina, and one chocolate chocolate chip and two peanut butter – separate bag for those please…I don't want them touching."

this was followed by an eye roll and I paid $5.00 flat.  No napkins…I'm a rebel fingering-licking nut.

    Marissa: "You have any left?"

Me: "Idk if I can share – your fingers smell of peanut butter and I flipping HATE peanut butter.  And besides…I ate them all…and I'm feeling sick…again."

Damn these cookies!  I can't say no!

  4. fine cookies to eat on the lower level of the mall. Nothing special…

  5. Came here on a friends recommendation that is s pastry chef so I trusted her judgement! I had to pick up cookies – or something to bring to a party today and thought cookies are fun and delish!!

So of course I didn't have anything to eat except for my usual shake for breakfast – yes I can be a health nut at times! So I start off with greens and fruit juicing with vegan protein…

As I enter the smell was so intoxicating I think I started to drool. Everything looked so good and smelled good! I decided on a mix of cookies but ended up eating three chocolate chip right away  – a true classic ! I hope there's still some left by the Time I get to the party 🙂

  6. THE COOKIE HOUSE LIVES

No longer in its hut in the middle of the food court, the Cookie House is now a storefront.  While the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies isn't as all encompassing as it was years ago due to the placement of the ovens further away from the counter, that familar smell still lingers in the air nearby.  The counter staff was just fine contrary to what other have said or just "heard" in their postings on Yelp, even though I had a small order.  I would like to try their pretzels sometime, but I had just eaten at Nathan's and it was time for a serious dessert.

The chocolate chip cookies were as good as when I was a kid.  When they're fresh and oozing chocolate, they're among the best cookies I've had.  And I am a fucking cookie monster.  I wish I had gotten a half pound just of these instead of a half pound total.  The chocolate chip peanut butter, double chocolate chip, and oatmeal raisin were also great examples of their respective genuses.  There was definitely an element of nostaglia walking home with these in the bag; I couldn't stop looking through the bag's window.  But I was shocked that this institution has held up so well in less-than-ideal conditions for all these years.

To those who won't come here because it isn't "gourmet" or "authentic" enough for you, well do us all a favor and stay away!  Eat your overpriced, overrated junk in Manhattan, and leave great places like this to real people like the ones who have posted here.  Authenticity is the biggest bullshit buzzword that people like to throw without even knowing what it means (runner-up is taste).  Authenticity is about more than fufilling an archtype which may or may not be accurate/applicable: it's about honesty.  The name of the business is Cookie House.  They make the best damn chocolate chip cookies in Brooklyn.  That sounds pretty real to me.
