Ralph’s Italian Ice’s
“Classic Italian Ices, I always get the lemon ice though…it caps off a pizza at DeNino's perfectly!”
“-PB Candy Bar Fudge: with little chunks of chocolate chips and fudge this really adds to the creamy peanut butter ice.”
“They have all the necessary items a small frozen treat stand should have, but the menu is most important in its flavors of ice and milk varieties.”

I'm not sure if this place has Landmark status, but it should.
Ralph's is where you go on a warm summer's evening. They have a parking lot, but ti's usually full. Park on a side street and get reading to chat with friends because you WILL be standing on line. Just do it. Stand there. It's worth it. It's part of the whole experience. Then go sit on the hood of your car and enjoy.
Water Ices, Cream Ices, Ice Creams, Shakes, etc. I think you could come there everyday for 6 months and have a different flavor every time.
Personal favorite- Passion Fruit Water Ice- sweet, sour, glorious.
Listen, stop being crazy or whatever you're doing. You always have room for some Ralph's Italian ice.
I used to live around the corner so Ralph's was our favorite spot to walk 🙂 You can get everything from soft serve to their famous water and creme ices. This location is the original and they sell flavors here that you cannot get at any of their franchise locations. If you go at peak times the line can be in the street. A small size is pretty big. We always get the kids scoop which is one large scoop. This place is cash only!!!
Toffee bar crunch ice cream was deelish! Wish there was even more toffee bits mixed in!!
Warning to any first-timers: there are LOTSSSS of flavors options for water ice, ice cream, cream ices, on top of having the options of shakes, smoothies, twists, combos of desserts. Go there with a flavor craving in mind. If you're someone like me who's incredibly indecisive trying to always formulate the perfect decision of craving satisfaction + not indulging too much + not missing out on the "fan fave" of Yelp…this place will for sure make you overwhelmed with all the options lol.
Amazing! From the day it opens to kick off summer, the lines don't stop. The cream ices are so good and the options are endless. I like peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter cookie dough, rainbow cookie and my favorite is mint chip. The staff moves quick and will allow you to sample their crazy flavors. Anything you order will be good. The lines can be very long and it's cash only!
Nothing like a delicious rainbow ice, after dinner we decided to go for some snacks an walk along the board walk after. So good, my husband had a chocolate chip milk shake an my boys had a cherry ices. Great summer spot. We'll be back for more.
Sadly I went almost 23 years of my life without having Ralph's Ices. It only took one bite and I immediately fell in love. Once I found out that the Original Ralph's was directly across the street from Denino's, I made it a mission to get to Staten Island from Jersey as soon as possible. Ralph's has everything and more. The best variety, the best flavors, and the most delicious Italian ice you will ever have the pleasure of wrapping your tongue around.
I must briefly address the good people of Staten Island…You have no idea how jealous I am that you have not only the best pizza but the best ice in the same neighborhood, on the same block, directly across the street from one another! I'm a Jersey boy at heart but sometimes I think of moving to Port Richmond Ave because I know I would be truly happy for the rest of my life.
The Peanut Butter & Jelly Creme Ices here are one of the greatest frozen desserts ever created. Ever.
I used to go to Ralph's back in the day when there was only like one in some random place in Long Island that I forget and one in Forest Hills, which I used to hit up semi-daily for a pint of that good stuff. Seriously, a pint in one sitting.
After coming to one for the first time years later, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is an even huger menu of every possible flavor imaginable now, both of the icy and creamy variety (I don't mess with that icy nonsense though).
Not only are the creme ices so good they make you forget about wanting to eat ice cream, but they give you an insanely huge portion for a ridiculously cheap price. Never one to a order a small (which is just $2), I opted for a medium (just $2.50), and it was HUGE. Even I would have been fine with just a small. They are super generous with the amount of ices they stick in that cup.
Come to Ralph's if you want the best tasting, most satisfying and most economical dessert you can hope for.
