I'm a huge yogurt fan and have ventured all over NYC in search of great frozen yogurt. Fruitti Yummi is in the middle of the road. They have a decent selection of flavors, not over whelming, but yet still an adequate number to satisfy your craving on a hot Sunday. In terms of available toppings, once again, the choices are decent but nothing super. All in all this place is the middle of the road.
On my visit the store was packed with many kids and families around. I was able to find a seat but decided to go outside and walk down the street while indulging in my cold treat. The store wasn't cool, but rather hot.
Affordable fro-yo with a decent selection of toppings.
This place is open pretty late (compared to other establishments in Ridgewood), making for a good after dinner snack.
They don't have that many actual fro-yo flavors, but their staples of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry are all good. Toppings range from cereals (Captain Crunch, Cinnamon Toast Crunch), to candy (chocolate covered pretzels, mini m&ms, mini Reese's, crushed Reese's Pieces), fruit, syrups and more.
This place is always crowded during the summer, and it's a great place to sit and enjoy air conditioning and a tasty treat on a hot summer day. I usually get the smaller cup of fro-yo with a bunch of toppings and it comes up to around $4-$5.
I must say that every time I visit Myrtle Avenue, I have to stop by Fruitti Yummi and have a delicious treat. It's nice knowing you have a healthier option than Carvel, which is right across the street. Nice table, chairs and window seating. VERY small store so it can get packed easily. They only have two sized cups. Medium and large. I wished they had just a tiny bit smaller one. Like all other self serve frozen yogurt spots, the more you pile on, the more it's going to be since it goes by weight. They have a decent variety of flavors. I usually stick with the coconut, dulce de leche or cake batter. They have a huge variety of toppings. Every fresh fruit imaginable, candy, cereal, sprinkes, etc. etc. Loads of syrup toppings like Ghirardelli, Reeses(!!!) and a few others. Service here is a tad underwhelming. The people always look like they don't even want to be there. They have a tip cup by the register so you'd think they would instill exceptional service to request tips, but no! No limit with debit/credit card purchases, which is nice. Free Wifi is always a nice thing to enjoy. I really would love to come back, but after reading the below review of the employee not changing his gloves after touching trash, I might just stick with Carvel and just watch my calories for the rest of the day!
Summer, summer, summertime, time to sit back and unwind.
Here it is the groove slightly transformed
Just a bit of a break from the norm
Just a little somethin' to break the monotony and a perfect place for a sweet summer treat that has less than 1/2 the calories of a regular cup of ice cream.
I get the big cup & two spoons with my favorite flavors of Strawberry & Coconut being on a repeat cycle everytime I stop in. Generally I share it with the family and friends whoever I'm with at the time but theres been occasions where I had no one to share my love of Frutti Yummi Yogurt with and had to put the remainder in the freezer until the next craving which holds up perfectly just like ice cream.
Nice and large variety of toppings and generally I do the fresh strawberries but when I'm feeling like remembering yesteryear and being a kid again I add the sprinkles for fun.
Nice hours of operation, Staff is friendly and always willing to give you samples of the feature flavors.
Give me a soft yogurt mix.
I wish Fruitti Yummi Frozen Yogurt had more flavors to choose from. I guess I'm spoiled with 16 Handles variety and expected to see the same here. The fro yo is tasty (I usually stick w/ birthday cake, which is difficult to mess up). The toppings were plentiful and fruit were fresh and tasty. The venue is kind of small, so don't think you can bring your whole crew up in here — that's not going to happen. I can only imagine how much this place will get on my nerves during the summer when kids are jam packed into this tiny storefront. Jesus be a fence…
Pretty clean Froyo place! The staff was busy cleaning up the topping bar when my friend and I walked in there. Only the seating area was a bit dirty but I'm going to assume it's because of the kids that were in there. Seating is limited due to the size of this place. I'm not too sure how it would be if I went during rush hour in the summer though..
They have different flavers like Red Mango and I was happy to see that they had mochi and the fruit flavored boba pearls. They went pretty well with the coconut froyo.
Would I come back here? Probably if I'm in Ridgewood and I parked pretty far away and it's not crowded on Myrtle.
