  1. I am big fan of farmers markets. I enjoy walking around and checking out local farms and businesses as I am a believer in supporting both.
Unfortunately this one lacks a few things.
    1. Organic Farms
    2. Vendors!
Improve on both and I will frequent it more often.

  2. Not on par with Summit but well worthwhile. It is on Saturday and I recommend Melicks for fruit and another stand- can't remember the name for vegetables.

  3. The Chatham farmers' market is held every Saturday morning and offers a huge variety of fresh produce, also many ready-to-eat foods.  I love coming here because the prices are startlingly fair (considering it's in Chatham Borough) and on Saturday I usually have time to cook the stuff I bring home.

White peaches from Melicks Town Farm are outstanding but come early, they sell out quickly!  The tremendous produce from the Muth Family Farm of Monroe, NJ puts many supermarkets to shame.  Last week I bought huge beefsteak tomatoes from Muth, they were sacrificing boxes of over-ripe ones for just $10, and spent most of the day turning them into Italian sauce.  Have not tried the stuffed breads altho it all looks good.

It's held in the parking lot of the NJ Transit station so there's plenty of free parking.  Bring your dog (so many people do), get a coffee and a scone and try not to fill your basket too quickly!
