It's ok. Great addition to the neighborhood. Lots of flavor options and a very pleasant and professional staff. The decoration in the place is kinda funny, almost looks like a kids store. More like a "you go in there to design your own doll" kinda deco. The yogurt ? Well, I think it's kinda Meh.
I'm so confused….and why is the frozen yogurt barely frozen? The place is small and cute and the employees are all really friendly. The managers hired some really great kids to work the counters and I LOVE that so I know I will be checking in again to see how the place progresses.
However, the flavors are very limited and the toppings are extremly hard to get to. Most of them have to be retrieved by an employee and I don't like people seeing how many sprinkles I use so this is a big draw back for me. Also the toppings seem pretty stale and the toppings don't really go with frozen yogurt. lots of gummies.
Frozen yogurt in Inwood Manhattan with a modern polka dot theme of flashing multi bright colors, countertops and unique swing pod chairs hung from ceiling hooks with excessive loud music to catch your attention. VS Berry caught my attention for some yogurt but did not sway my input for five Yelp stars of this review. Most of the cashiers or servers are students with very minimal higher education and/or working experience ergo, the lack of communication skills and poor customer service skills. Since it was my first time here I needed to be aware of the surroundings and how the "self-serve" works while a server interjected "Do you want some candy to go?" I was blatantly direct with "just looking" as my standard retail response.
VS Berry contains all the standard frozen yogurt flavors: vanilla, strawberry, mango, etc. which I only care for my two standard flavors: vanilla and strawberry and fresh strawberries as my default topping. I filled my cup to 3.20 oz. with very minimal vanilla yogurt and four pieces of fresh strawberries as there were no more strawberries remaining totaling $1.57 (1 oz. = $.49). VS Berry is a kid friendly atmosphere as children will be running a monk with excitement of their swing pod chairs. My head was in excruciating throbbing pain from the excessive loud club music, which is not child friendly. I always prefer quiet places for my health and the clarity for audibility for an in-depth conversation.
VS Berry conveniently sits at the foot of A train 207th Street (last stop in Inwood).
Not like other yogurt bars I've been to, the workers were a little more hands on than I'm used to. Maybe because people abuse the sample opportunity or something. Would return but would probably check out the other yogurt place across the way first.
