Really great bagels. As with everything in Rye, they're not the cheapest; an everything bagel + cream cheese is $3.00… but the bagels are the best in the area. They have a bunch of other stuff available — prepared sides, salads, etc. and froyo/soft serve and a selection of bottled drinks.
There are enough mediocre bagels on Purchase Street that I would never have wandered in here without the strong positive reviews on Yelp. Well, what do you know, the bagels really are great: perfect consistency and fine taste. Absolutely, this is the real thing. I can recommend the salt bagels and will continue to experiment.
I think this is as close as I will get to my beloved NYC Ess-a-Bagels in Westchester and let me tell you, it is very close!
Delicious, fresh, chewy bagel goodness. Favorites are the everything or garlic.
Staff/service can be a little rough around the edges but I think that comes with the territory at a good bagel shop.
I've only been twice and both times I was buying 2 dozen bagels for work events; the first time they didn't accept credit cards but most recently they did accept them for purchases over $5.
Looking forward to my next visit where I hopefully get to finally try some of their cream cheeses or bagel sandwiches!
