Starbucks is Starbucks wherever you go. A few stores surround me, but I prefer this location for the following reasons. The drinks are consistent. The staff is friendly – most remember my name and my drink. The layout is smooth and organized with enough room to wait for your drink order. There's only soo much to say about an establishment that you visit for 5 minutes a day so I hope you get my drift.
This is one of the worst Starbucks known to man (er woman), oh wait, the one by Columbia Presbyterian Hospital blows too. I hate you Starbucks. You make my life miserable and yet I continue to let you have power over me. Sigh. This is just like my romantic relationships. FML.
If I could give it no stars I would. Several days a week, I work closeby and this is the closest coffee bar to me that has SOY. I now cannot frequent my friendly Chinese/Turkish coffee vendor because he doesn't have SOY. Double sigh.
Everytime I come in here, there is drama. And the service is really SLOW. In the morning, time is of the essence. Ten minutes could mean ON TIME to work vs. LATE. In any case, they pissed me off this morning. I just wanted a cup of coffee with soy milk. The lady rang up a "Misto," and I thought it was weird that a drip coffee would costs $3. So, I wait and wait and wait. And then I hear Misto at the counter, I go up to retrieve it and ask if it is made with SOY, and the barista looks at me blankly. Oh lord. Damn it, at this point, I have been waiting about 7 minutes. In any case, she goes to explain that misto is with steamed soy. I was like all I want is drip coffee and I can add my own SOY. If you left out some SOY at the self-service bar, we wouldn't have this issue. Argh, I wait another 5 minutes, and then get the Misto. What a pain! And what the H is a misto? I think its a cafe au soy lait oui?
OK, let me just stop ranting. This is why chains suck. People that work at chains are not invested in the company, they are there for the pay check. There is no incentive for good customer service. This is why those small coffee vendors on the street are so much better. They have an incentive because when you patronize them, that's food on their table and clothes on their back.
Avoid Starbucks like the plague. I think I'll just have to bring SOY milk to work and leave it in the fridge, this kind of hassle in the morning is not worth it!
I don't have any complaints about this Starbucks… it isn't crazy fabulous – but it's not a terrible location either and it's closest to the office so it tends to get more business from me than other locations.
It's of decent size with a few tables, and plenty of standing room when you're waiting for your drink.
The staff is pleasant and will occasionally hook a girl up w/ some caramel drizzle on her frapp. And despite the long line they're really effective at getting orders and making them quickly.
Bonus points for the fact that I've never had a bad frapp from this place.
Most starbucks will always have a line in rush hour mornings. Its just how people get a kick start to their day. This starbucks is horrible with the dreary long morning line that moves in a snail pace. when youre trying to get a cup of coffee before heading into the office and you think "oh, its starbucks, the line will move fast"… think again most of the time its slow as heck. Its even worst in the afternoons here. Once or twice i was in/out in about 10 minutes… Those lucky times. Better off getting coffee elsewhere.
It's tiny & was colder in there than outside but they do have a public restroom & had the Double Chocolaty Chip Frapucinno, which seems to be harder & harder to find these days. Located right near the Centre Street courthouses in lower Manhattan so if you need to kill time & don't mind not having a place to sit, it's okay. I've been in worse but I've definitely been in better locations.
Nice layout. Clean. Open feel. I was quickly attended to by the cashier, who documented my order properly. The barista, however, did not make my drink to specs, which caused me to have to wait for it to be redone. That being said, they did ask me if I wanted whip on my soy beverage, instead of assuming I did not. Always a plus. A par for the course Starbucks experience.

Happy Dining!
Pretty busy Starbucks. Typical Starbucks time to get drinks. Only one couch sitting area. Only 1 bathroom unisex but it's dirty and stinks real bad.

Pretty fast Starbucks. Would come again if I was in the area. The staff are courteous and are fast at preparation.
