  1. When you walk into Mt. Ararat, you feel like your in Palestine,Turkey, Lebanon , and Iran all rolled up into one.  Mt. Ararat is a combo bakery/ middle eastern specialty shop My favorites are Turkish and Iranian pistachio nuts, the Lebanese breads with fresh humus, Their middle eastern  baklava  and pastries. If you live in bayside you need to go there RIGHT NOW!

  2. My mom discovered this place a mountain of years ago and my family has been hooked ever since.  The go-to's: Long flat bread called Barbari, Feta Cheese, fresh and unsalted walnuts, pistacios & pignoli nuts.  Theyve also got a ton of other baked goods; Lebanese, Armenian and Persian foods.  Overall wonderful bakery in Bayside that retains the multicultural dynamic.
