It pains me to leave this negative review. The manager tried to make it up to us and comped the dish that was bad… But I can't in good conscience give a bad experience a pass.
My wife and I were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary. This is the fourth or fifth Cheesecake factory I have been to, I figured you can't go wrong. Boy was I wrong.
To start with, my Bluemoon draft beer was "flat". Either it was poured wrong or the tap/line was dirty.
The service was decent, but the main dishes were pretty bad. My wife always orders the same dish- the chicken farfalle with roasted garlic. This time the panchetta was burned black and made the entire dish taste like a charcoal bricket. The cream sauce was very watery and had not been reduced properly and the dish was quite salty.
My dish was pretty good. I ordered the Steak Diane with Shrimp Scampi. The mashed potatoes were salty and cold and it came with three large shrimp and three medallions of steak which was cooked exactly as requested (the meat was lacking salt).
The cheesecake was great, especially their new salted caramel.
On our way out my wife and I used the rest rooms. Both were out of toilet paper, filthy and the mens room had a special surprise. Either someone had an accident or they used the bathroom and realized there was no toilet paper and left a pair of dirty underwear in the stall to accompany the pissed on toilet seat and soggy floor.
Overall the ambience of the restaurant is nice and the area where it is located is incredibly nice. But they need to get their act together and the cooks have to maintain high quality standards and management needs to ensure that the bathrooms are checked on regularly because it is such a busy restaurant. I am resigned to find a filthy bathroom in a fastfood restaurant, not in the Cheesecake Factory.
Personally, I don't see the merit in complaining about the wait time. Yes, anyone that's eaten at any other Cheesecake Factory knows that the wait time is long. It isn't exclusive to this location and its not the fault of the staff/owners that the restaurant is popular, especially on the weekends.
In terms of food, everything is mostly good. My guilty-pleasure food is the mac&cheese burger, although I try not to have it too often, for obvious, artery-clogging reasons.
Ive never personally had an issue with the service at this location. Everyone has been mostly pleasant. That being said, I usually avoid the high traffic (weekend) times so maybe I haven't encountered their staff when they're at their most stressed out.
Good little spot .! It's always crowded though, so I just take out . The workers are a little slow . Oh well. Cheesecake is good .
Update –
I had good food here ! Mashed potatoes were excellent with chunks of potatoes , salmon was cooked perfectly and asparagus was so good , all for about $20 I never knew food was so good here because I avoid franchises and go to local owned places . Boy I missed out , glad I'm now in the loop!
I have been to The location in Westbury, NY. Maybe they use different recipes or maybe they should focus on foods they do well consistently. The buffalo wings were good. The salmon was ok. The shrimp sandwich was too messy and too much mayo/sauce. The broccoli was over cooked. The service was decent. Not sure I would return. The banana cheesecake just tasted like banana pudding.
first off, the server i had was named gabriel was was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
so he gets a 5 in my book but overall, either it was a manager issue or the company's issue but i wasnt pleased.
my bf and i went to cheesecake factory on tuesday for lunch. we arrived around 12 and was seated promptly.
in my opinion, their menu is WAY TOO BIG. too many things to choose from…
well i ordered chicken w/ biscuits and gravy
after consuming a couple of bites, i found either a straw wrapper or tissue in my food. i was very displeased. our server was SUPER apologetic and immediately told the manager. they asked if i wanted a new dish and obv i said yes.
what i was very displeased with was that they didnt comp me for it or offer anything else to comp me for it.
ive gone to applebees where i feel is a smaller chain, and when i found hair in my food, they comped me for my dish.
the manger did come to our table to apologize but it was unbelievable to me that i wasnt offered a desert or whatever as a gesture.
not pleased what so ever.
I was a little worried coming here because of the reviews but my experience here was awesome.
Me and a couple of friends came here for girls night and only had to wait 20 mins to be seated.
Appetizers- We shared the advocado egg rolls and fried cheese which both were delicious.
Drinks- I had the carribean cooler and a Sangria, my friend Annette had the blueberry mojito, my friend Janine had the blood orange mojito. All the drinks were delicious and not too strong.
Dinner- I had the crispy shrimp sandwich (loved it and would def get it again), Annette had the chicken piccata, Janine had the grilled steak tacos. Food was cooked well, came out in a timely manner and tasted great.
The waiter Johan was extremely helpful since my friend Annette had a lot of questions lol he was very patient.
Dessert- Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake….omg!! Heaven!! We shared this because we were so full.
Overall amazing experience and great night with my girls!!
Completely ignore my previous review of the Cheesecake factory. Since then I have come two more times and my experience was delicious. If you decide to eat here, the nachos with chicken are a MUST. It is their signature appetizer and is absolutely decadent. Literally mouth-watering thinking about it. Also, the shrimp scampi dish is amazing. The shrimp is top quality and the sauce is delicious. It comes with angel hair pasta, which is also great! Overall, definitely one of their top entrees. Everyone also enjoys their burgers because they have a great variety. However, if you love seafood and pasta – their shrimp scampi dish is excellent. Of course, the cheesecake is the best too. The banana creme one is my personal favorite.
The decor is very romantic and beautifully arranged. There is usually a wait to be seated at the Cheesecake factory. Especially after 7pm. However, it is definitely worth trying. They serve you bread with your dinner and offer great drinks to choose from. There is a bar area for those looking to come for drinks and a quick bite. They also offer a "skinnylicious"menu for people that are on a diet.
It is a very broad menu. Some dishes are better than others. If you try what I suggested, I am sure you will be happy because it was very good. Stay away from the spinach and artichoke dip and the pot stickers. The stuffed mushrooms and wings are also very good.
Never been a fan of Cheesecake Factory and the food never wow'd me. How can a restaurant have over 50 entrees available and be able to perfect them all? That still boggles my mind. The establishment itself is beautiful and the staff was kind and on top of their serving game. I had the gumbo but it was super salty and what it is interesting is they don't de-vein their shrimp. As much as they charge that should of been a given. Never the less I would come back if someone asked me to join them, but I rather spend my money on locally owned restaurant than large corporate chains.
I recommend make a reservation if you plan to come with large groups and if it is only two of you then just plant yourself at the bar for faster service.
Also, Cheesecake Factory validates your parking for the first two hours.
