  1. This place is amazing and the prices are very good.  Smells incredible too when you walk in.

I actually have not tried anything but the Pecan Custard Ring and OMG it is freaking delicious!!!!! It is definitely on my top 5 favorite desserts.  The texture is perfect – it is sweet and crispy on the outside and the inside has the right amount of fluffiness to the custard.  It is also not overly sweet which is always a plus.  When I get the pecan custard pie, I need to share it with others because I can totally eat the entire thing myself.  It's a good thing I don't live super close to this bakery.. or else I'd seriously be on the fast track to getting diabetes!

FYI, this place is cash only.  There is street parking on Broad Ave so make sure you bring quarters just in case because I think it only accepts quarters/credit card.  Also as I was leaving, I did see some street parking without meters off of Broad Ave.

  2. Rustic and low-key, this bakery is straight from the movies of local wonderfulness.

Everything is always fresh, cheap, and generous in size. They carry a huge assortment of cakes, cookies, breads, and so forth. If you don't try the (MASSIVE) pecan custard ring at some point, I can say with confidence that you are missing out.

  3. Yelp directed me to this place when I was craving sweets and boy am I glad! I pretty much got one of everything. So far, I've tried the Boston creme doughnut and the Napoleon. Both were so good. It's a very old school bakery but they stood the test of time and their goods so to die for.

They are also super reasonable to boot. I bought two large boxes of sweets and it came out to $15.50! What?!

  4. Got the pecan custard ring (fresh, not refrigerated), rainbow sprinkle cookies, and an apple turnover. The cookies were perfect. The apple turnover was surprisingly not flakey (like puff pastry). But it was still very good. You have to try it for yourself.

Everything was very fresh. After browsing others' reviews, there are so many other things I want to try!

Parking was relatively easy – we parked on the street further away (free on Sunday). And I was worried they would sell out of stuff by noon, but there was PLENTY left.

  5. I got to check out Palisades Park Bakery at last.  First of all, I heard the place almost closed down for some reason and it's hard to believe it almost did! I am very glad it is up and running.

Although I haven't been able to try all their offerings yet, I had a chance to try one of their most well known item. I wish I knew the name of it, but it was very delicious. I plan to go back to try other things.

  6. This is our go to place for cheap, yet dependable baked goods.

Palisades Park bakery is amazing. They have a wide selection of freshly baked goods, friendly staff, and low prices.

Their specialty, in my opinion, are their custard filled goods. Custard filled Neapolitans, eclairs, pecan custard ring… Can't go wrong with any of those. Their Danishes and coffee cakes are good as well. Everything comes in a hearty portion size, so be ready to share (or indulge, whatever fits your fancy).

Great for a quick stop for sweets! Would highly recommend!

  7. Man if only this place was closer to me I would be oh so happy!!!

My mom's cousin mid way through lunch mentions this delicious bakery. Immediately I know two things. Phew! Thank God we weren't having dessert from Vitale's I'm too stuffed and two I loooove bakeries!

So this is your typical bakery except I'm not sure if they had Italian bread and Cannolis? Sorry. Cousin highly suggests the Apple Streudel (or was it Streusel?! I cannot remember) but hot damn it was good! My tastebuds were salivating and my eyes widen when I saw the giant Elephant ears in the case. Oh em gee!

So we got the Apple Streudel/Streusel whatever, an Elephant Ear, and something else? I cannot remember but listen to me. Listen very closely to what I'm about to say to you. This Elephant ear is to be eaten in two sittings and it is so freaking delicious words cannot describe how good they are. Do NOT share it! Do you understand me? They are for sure a hidden gem and off the chain crazy good.

    Will we back? You betcha!!!!

PS – this is a CASH ONLY establishment!!!

  8. I got a birthday cake here on the day of my gf's birthday so this was more of a last minute purchase. I got the chocolate shaving cake and asked for a message at the top and to my surprise the lady was able to accommodate it very quickly and proficiently without even charge anything extra!

The cake was really delicious and moist, you can definitely tell the frosting they use here taste different, freshly made everyday from other reviews I've read. A very nice Italian bakery shop in a town that's mostly Koreans. This place is cash only but the prices on the cakes are pretty unbeatable. I paid only $9.50 on a cake that could easily serve 6-7 people.

There's even off street parking just toward end of the little street so you don't have to look for street parking here. A perfect little family owned bakery that I absolutely enjoyed and will come back again in the future.
