Visited Jean's shop a few weeks ago looking for something to bring to a holiday dinner party…
I found out she had a good selection of spirits as well as an excellent selection of inexpensive, mid-quality wines. Her selection is partial to Italian wines, but this _is_ Staten Island after all. She suggested 2 bottles and I ended up taking 3 with me. All were decent and reasonably priced. The other customers all seemed like regulars which is always a positive indicator.
She inherited the cat when she purchased the shop from the previous owners. Gotta love small businesses. What happens to cats during corporate takeovers?
