Yes, this is the infamous bulletproof liquor store. I noticed it wasn't on Yelp, but this may have also been due to the fact that this place doesn't have a real name. The yellow awning says "Liquor and Wine". The light up sign on top says "Lotto Liquor", and the credit card receipt I have says "Mike's Liquor Inc". So I decided to go with that last one, as it seems the most official.
For the longest time I always brushed this place off as a joke, but they really do have a decent selection if wines and alcohol. You wouldn't get the fancy wines like you could get up the block at Il Vino Torchio, but you can definitely get a bottle of Yellowtail or some other inexpensive (but not bad tasting) wine. The Root 1 Cabernet always works in a pinch.
