  1. Fresh hot bread baked 24/7 and open 24/7. come in anytime and don't forget the rolls!!!

  2. People usually come for bread.

I come for cookies and pastries.

Cookies are 3 for a dollar.

Tons of fresh goodies! A true hudden gem!

  3. I didn't know that all these years I lived in walking distance of a 24 hour bakery, and now i'm making up for lost time with 3 visits in 3 weeks. The fresh breads and croissants are the clear winners, straight from the baking sheet, warm and delicious.  There are lots of treats in the bakery cases.Grab a basket, fill it with anything that looks good, and take it to the counter to be totaled.  The palmiers (elephant ear cookies) are my weakness: flaky, crunchy, tender, and sweet.
Cookies are ok in a pinch but weirdly crunchy, like either stale or overbaked. Skip the cupcakes- cake is dry, frosting is overly sweet.  If they stepped up the coffee game I would be here daily.
Ladies behind the counter are so friendly Let the scent of baked treats beckon you in,and treat yo self.

  4. A carb- heaven in Jersey City Heights.
Everything fresh+ Inexpensive= Sasha gaining weight.
Awesome croissants my lover and I tend to enjoy a little too much. Also located right across the street from the Yardley factory that has an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline AND less-impressive Hoboken.
Take your bike, ride on over to Salem & Sons, purchase some croissants or go all French and purchase a baguette and ride to Riverview park. Sneak in a little wine and VOILA! You've got yourself an inexpensive, but very enjoyable date.

    You're welcome.

  5. A bakery that's open 24/7 that sells fresh bread, pastries, and empanadas along with every day staples like eggs and milk? Yes please!

I only discovered this bakery within the past years or so, and this place is a dream come true. I love their donuts, which are almost as big as my face. They also have a really nice flaky croissant, but I prefer their whole wheat croissant which is just as flaky but has a really nice crunchy topping with seeds. They sell palmiers (elephant ears), gigantic turnovers (love the guava with cheese and apple), and some sort of flaky sugary pastry twist drizzled with chocolate. Yum! I recently got two pieces of their coffee cake – one chocolate and one plain – in observance of National Coffee Cake day. They were delicious. Funny enough, the chocolate tasted just like the plain. Most of their pastries are $1-$1.50 each.

The bread is awesomely fresh! And, you'll want to eat it within the first 24 hours. Otherwise, it will start to get hard. My favorite are the Portuguese rolls – 3 for $1. They're perfect for making a pretty generous-sized sandwich! The employees pull them straight off their baking trays and into a brown bag for you.

Near the register, they have a display of empanadas and beef patties. They're delicious and only about a buck or two at most. This bakery is crazy cheap and everything is fresh out of the oven! While you're there, you can buy milk, eggs, and drinks.

The only parking they have is residential street parking but many people double park, grab what they need and move along within 5-10 minutes. This what I always do and you certainly won't be alone with your hazards on. This place is an absolute deal!
