Yay I'm a fan of this Sbux!
Its Downtown Newark, has indoor and outdoor seating, staff is cool and on point and yes the long lines move quickly. The interior layout is pretty cool too. If your in the neighborhood, stop in and check out Newark's Starbucks. Enjoy folks.
I just came from shopping at dr Jays hot ass store, so I decided I needed a frappuccino and some sit down time at downtown newarks Starbucks lol, pretty dead since it was Memorial Day and everyone is at the shore being shoobies. I didn't want to go with the norm frappe drink that I usually would order so I went with a mocha frapp, extra mocha…pretty good…I always feel I should always get two, one for inside and one to go, but that's my inner fatso talking most the time. Place is spacious, I didn't even care that the lady that took my order didn't ask my name….I was going to make one up, maybe be a Dave at Starbucks today Ctfu…other than that it's your typical Starbucks!!
This Starbucks is bright and clean.
It's a great place to study.
The staff is friendly.
The service is fast.
They have a Clover machine, which is a must try.
Open 7 days a week.
As soon as you enter this Starbucks, you'll notice how bright and clean it is. The tall ceiling and expresso aroma captures you. And then you notice the lines. Actually, thats probably the first thing you'll notice. Staff are friendly but this place is just inadequately staffed to handle the morning crowd for efficient service. Compounded with the fact that people can place mobile orders, expect to wait a solid 12-15 minutes (at least) before getting your drink. After receiving my order, I headed to their sugar and cream station and noticed they ran out of raw sugar packets, skim and whole milk. They just replaced the half and half. But as always, it's Starbucks so you know what you're getting and their espresso is on point. Definitely will try the mobile order next time.
One of many wonderful additions to downtown Newark and right next to the refreshed Military Park. It's wonderful to have a nice coffee shop here to meet with folks, study, or whatever that you need to do (and it's open on the weekends!!)
Very clean, modern, and reminiscent of your typical Starbucks but welcome and needed! My only qualm is that it could be a little bit bigger but there's definitely a good amount of seating available (long tables, window-side, by the barista).
Love this new Starbucks by the new Prudential Tower. It really gives the Downtown Newark area a wonderful shot in the arm!
I must say this Starbucks is very well organized. There's always a long line at lunch time. However, the line moves
Very Quickly!
The employees are very friendly.
All the drinks and food are made quickly and properly. My favorite drink is the "Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher Beverage". It really gives me a boost for the afternoon 🙂
In my book, here's some Starbucks Food Winners:
-Thai Style Peanut Chicken Wrap
-Chicken and Artichoke on Ancient Grain Flatbread (Heated) Yum 🙂
-Turkey and Havarti Sandwich
The place is superclean. The shop has lots of seating inside and outside.
Should you be in the Downtown Newark area, it's definitely worth your time to stop in this Starbucks!
There's a Starbucks in Newark!! And they charge a little less than NYC's Starbucks! Lunch time on the weekdays, the line is super long here They're quick ringing up people but getting the order takes a while. It's worse when there's a special deal, like half off Frappuncino. The long goes on for days.
Two less stars for rude service I get from the same worker. Her attitude is not pleasant. The other staffs serve with a smiling face and a welcoming voice. Customer service is everything when it cines to Starbucks especially when people are paying so much for drinks that cost half the price at Dunkin Donut.
5 stars for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only.
1) It's the best (and only) Starbuck's in Newark, if you don't count the awful location attached to the Hilton in the Gateway Center.
2) It carries the exotic reserve blends and the Clover machine so you can order those blends by the cup and pay way more than you already do for a single serve.
Kudos to this Starbucks for contributing to the ongoing improvements in Newark.
