  1. I like their bakery section blueberry pie and given my druthers, I prefer to shop here than the horrid hole in the wall A&P on Riverdale Avenue. Sometimes you have to go with the lesser of two evils.

Fortunately I get most of my produce from CSA and only need to stop here rarely.

  2. I really only go here out of necessity since it's close by and I have a terrible habit of perusing Pinterest/my cookbook stash and wanting to make things on a whim.

They're pretty expensive and the produce section sucks. Meat is usually picked over, but I always go late in the day so I'm sure that's a contributing factor. The deli is ok and so is the dairy section. Being that it's Riverdale there's a lot of kosher cheese, and I quite like the yogurt dill cheese they have.

I far prefer Stop and Shop but hate dealing with Broadway…so I either go here, make a trip to the Cross County Stop and Shop if I have other places to go out that way, or go to Fairway or Stop & Shop in Nanuet since I work out there.

That said, Key Foods trumps C-Town and Fine Fare (BF lived in Bedford Park before we moved to Riverdale) by a long shot so I suppose it could be much worse.

I miss my uncrowded huge suburban Stop & Shops in Connecticut dammit.
