They are so awesome and sweet. Gave us free pizza because they just opened. The guy was so happy to make us the pizza. For the 1st week their 1st batch of pizza is free. You have to check them out.
We needed a nice Italian deli on this side of town. The owner is French and Italian. Within the next couple of weeks they will have more cheeses and olives. They have pastries as well which looked delicious.
I have a feeling they are going to be in business for a really long time.
Amerigo took forever to open. The sign was up for over a full year while they were prepping the space. When it finally opened, being a supporter of local business, I came in to check it out. Unfortunately, I was very underwhelmed by the offerings. The owners and employees, while super sweet, don't really have it together yet. For now, they are open only Mondays thru Fridays and only until 8pm, so it can be a bit of a challenge if you work a regular job.
I can't speak to the coffee, but I hear it's Filicori from Italy, which is supposed to be delicious. But we did try their pizza – we got a few slices of various varieties (Meat, just cheese, and a slice of white pizza). As a cute, new, local shop, we expected something more artisanal and homemade, but ended up with something tasting worse than many of the cheaper pizza parlors that you find all over the city.
They do have a very large selection of pastries, olives, cheese, and meats. As a small market, I hope they succeed, and I should come back to try their coffee. For their pizza, I would pass and head somewhere else.
