Actually was digging this roll more than Luke's lobster!   Seemed to have a bit  more meat and was a mayo based lobster salad with perfect celery and chives on top.  Might get another one in about an hour

Excellent hot dog. It's a nice stand out on the street with hot dogs, shakes and some sweets. Paid $10 for a hot dog and a lemonade, NYC is pricey so this is ok.

Walked over here today figuring I'd get a hot dog.  I had one before and it was pretty good, although expensive at $4.50 and then they charge extra for toppings.  Being sick of all the other options around here I figured what the heck.

Well, it is now cheaper to get a hot dog at Yankee Stadium because Snack Box now charges $5.75 plus extra for toppings for ONE HOT DOG.

Good luck with your business gouging inane tourists.

I stopped by SnackBOX several times while staying at the nearby W Hotel.  The first time was just to try a hot dog, but then it turned out to be one of the best hot dogs I've ever eaten.  Over the course of four days, I just kept going back for more!

Best hot dogs ever!  I had several variations of toppings, but what made the hot dog so great for me was the hot dog itself and the bun that it was served on.  The beef hot dogs tasted great, had just the right amount of crunch of the casing, and was not overly salty.  The buns were soft and a bit chewy – the perfect texture to complement the sausage.  I tried three combinations of toppings, but my favorite was the green tomato relish!

Hot dogs are Oh So Good! For a Price…

    Food: 3.5 Stars
Snackbox has one of the "best" hotdogs I have tried in the city. On that note I should state it is very rare I eat hotdogs.
The overall flavor is good and the skin has a nice little snap when you bite into the hotdog.
The add-ons mostly range from .50 to 1.00, but the quantity given is a rather healthy amount. I am a big fan of onions and the caramelized onions are cooked properly.
The pretzels are leaps and bounds better than the ones you would get from a street vendor. There is no comparison.
    I love those caramelized onions.

    Service/Speed: 4 Stars
I haven't waiting on any lines so far, which means I can't judge how fast the service is during the lunch rush. Every time I have come here I never waited longer than 5 minutes to order and receive my food. Once again, I am never around for the major rush.
The service is friendly and happy to help you. One of the workers was so happy he did a little spin and the hotdog went flying across the food cart and fell to the ground. I was happy when he followed all the proper procedures to ensure the sanitary quality remained high. He picked up and threw out the hotdog, removed his gloves, washed his hands, and put on a new pair of gloves before preparing another hot dog.
While those steps should be the standard, it isn't in most places.

    Overall: 3.5 Stars
In comparison to the majority of hotdogs for sale on the streets of New York this is your best bet. While there are other vendors out there that are just and good, as well as half the price out there, they aren't easy to find.

In the end you pay for the quality.

If you pass by Snackbox in Times Square and are craving hotdogs and pretzels, this is your best bet.

Kind of touristy, they say they have healthier hot dogs, but are you eating them for your health?  Great location to sit on the curb and enjoy a dog, but you could probably get one that tastes just as good from a cart and walk back to the location.  Just sayin'…

This is the perfect food cart to go to if you're walking around Times Square and suddenly realize that your breath is stinking because you haven't had anything to eat or drink in a few hours. The extravagance that is Times Square is overwhelming but that's not excuse to have bad breath!

This particular food cart has coffee, tea, soda, pretzels, hot dogs, and Doughnut Plant donuts! Yes, a donut is $3-$4 but it's so much better than anything you'll find in a nearby Starbucks or deli. I highly recommend their Coconut creme donut, Blackout donut, and PB&J donut.
Their hotdogs are $5 but it's much much much better than the dirty-water hotdogs you will find scattered throughout the city.

Also, you can sit at one of the tables that they've placed outside of SnackBOX, and soak everything in as you rest of your feet.

They take both cash and credit.
