Marvel definitely hits the spot! Ice cream is delicious but just the same any other soft serve. There's really no reason to drive out of the way to get it other then it's a long beach staple.

The ice cream here is absolutely amazing! When you get to this place you park and then just walk up to the window. Just be careful in the parking lot because people are crazy drivers and it is a little small. When ever I come here I get a vanilla and chocolate swirl on a cone with either sprinkles or their crunchies (which are soo good). It's a really cute place to stop by with your friends or even just go on a date (my boyfriend and I do this all the time) ! If you're in Long Beach or even Point Lookout, definitely save room for dessert and come here, you won't regret it ! 🙂

Love this place!  We drive 15 minutes to come for their
Frozen yoghurt and ice cream.  My husband loves the coffee and I love their peanut butter.  There is usually a line but it moves pretty quickly.

As delicious as everyone claims.  I got a medium pistachio ice cream with a brown bonnet and rolled in peanuts. The ice cream was so so creamy and rich. The brown bonnet and peanuts was as crunchy as it was delightful.

My friend who is severely allergic to nuts told them about her allergy and the server even went out of his way to dip her ice cream in a fresh bin of sprinkles in the back to avoid any possibly cross contaminated bins of sprinkles they had on the counters.

A great ice cream establishment and such excellent customer service.

The creme de la creme of lido beach!

You can't go to long beach without stopping here. The ice cream is like nothing I've ever had to compare to. Get a twist with chocolate crunch! Perfection!

They're super cute and take pictures of their clients to put up on the wall. I've been up there a few times growing up. I love to see the tradition still alive.

It's cash only so be sure to stop at an ATM!

Always a line. Soft serve ice cream and lots of different toppings. Mine was half chocolate sprinkles and half peanuts with vanilla ice cream!

Poor customer service. No samples, people yelling at you to order quicker, and a woman literally policing the parking lot to make sure you don't stay a millisecond over 15 minutes. Not a friendly place, I don't care how good your ice cream is.

No this isn't a typo. Marvel is one of the top places to be in the summer if you're looking for a sweet frozen treat. Most people in the Long Beach area will frequent here for their post-beach dessert. For me, yesterday I had finished a nice lunch in Point Lookout and knew I had to try to swing by and grab a cone (the parking lot and amount of people can be overwhelming at times). I was very lucky when I pulled up to find a couple of open spots and was able to beat the swarm of beach goers coming from down the street. I'm a simpleton when it comes to Marvel and always go with a chocolate and vanilla twist on a cone. It's very rich and creamy and always hits the spot on a warm day like yesterday. There are plenty of other options as well (the chocolate shell they dip the ice cream in is a great choice). So if you've never had Marvel, do yourself the favor of taking a trip down to Long Beach and grabbing a cone.
