  1. The Hot Soup man is a mobile kitchen of tasty and delicious bisques, chowders, gumbos, chili and broths. He sits on 51st and broadway, across the street from McDonald's on the southwest corner. The bright red HOT SOUP banner on either side should be pretty clear. He has about a dozen soups a day, which rotate constantly and are served steming hot. At $5 for a 12 oz, $6 for a 16 oz you get soup, a roll, and saltines. The portions are good and comparable to a Hale and Hearty.

Many of the soups are bolstered with ground beef and depending on which soup you get, some are more watered down than others. That said, the soups are big on flavor and I like their rolls better than the sourdough or seven grain at Hale. The guy happens to be nice too!
