  1. We arrived at this little gem around 4:45pm on a warm, sunny summer Wednesday. A few people were at the bar but the restaurant itself was empty. We were greeted almost immediately at the door by the sweetly, fabulous and wonderfully cheerful Morgan.

She filled us in on the specials, brought us water and left us to decide on our meal. We chose:

Brussel Sprouts: nicely roasted with a slightly sweet sauce to go with it that was not at all ovewhelming. You also get enough in each order to share with the table.

Lamb Empanadas: omg! These little gems were so tasty I wanted to get an order to go! You get six in an order. They are light, the pastry is nicely fores but NOT oily and the lamb filling is sooo delicious, slighty spicy but not overwhelming. It came with a dip that I didn't use at all. Wasn't needed.
They alao have kimchi and short eib empanadas that are also delicious! Try them all!!

Cornbread: freshly made to order and served in a little skillet with a dollop of jalapeno butter on top. It was really good but kind of dry for my tastes UNTIL I dipped it in the sauce from the brussel sprouts. Then it was perfect.

Grilled Ceasar Salad with sliced chicken breast (chicken is an additional $6 charge) To my surprise the salad was actually grilled! What?!?!? Loved it. It was a pleasant surprise and something I had never tried.

The Chicken Papusas were an item I had never even heard of far less tried. However, feeling adventurous I gave it a try. Awesome. It's a pastry filled with chicken and topped with sauce and veggies. Oh so very good. An order comes with three of these little treats and they are totally worth the wait.

Additionally they have an extensive bar. $5 margaritas during happy hour as well as some really tasty non alcoholic drinks for the more conservative in your group like the Lavender, Honey Mocktail and the Passionfruit Spritzer, Hibiscus Iced Tea and the Spicy Lemonade.

All in all a fabulous experience that I can't wait to repeat!

  2. I can see this as a great place for a GNO, maybe have some drinks and eat some tapas while catching up with a friend. It's colorful inside and well-decorated inside. It also has one of the prettier bathrooms that I've used.

Between the two of us, we shared the lamb empanadas ($7 during happy hour), shrimp and chorizo Mac and cheese, house salad, and tres leches to finish off the meal. We also got sangria, of course!

Both sangrias are great, but I prefer the green sangria to the white one. It's definitely unique – who else has green sangria? It's green because of the midori, so it is definitely on the sweeter side.

As for the food? I loved the lamb empanadas – it definitely tastes like lamb, and I like the creamy sauce that comes with it. The shrimp and chorizo Mac was good as well. There's more shrimp than chorizo, but the flavors do balance out anyway. We could've done without the salad. Shame on us for pretending to be healthy. It was way overdressed, and I don't know that I liked what it was dressed with to begin with. To round everything off, we had a huge slice of tres leches. It was right on the birder of being too moist, almost soggy even.

The waitress was attentive and genuinely friendly. She messed up on our check, but she did bring us shot glasses of their Frozen sangrias! I would definitely come back for more

  3. I came here Friday evening to meet up with some dear friends, and aside from having a great night…I also enjoyed the food at Miti Miti. Because we were group of 5 everyone we had a chance to try a handful of different dishes. I stand for the corn on the cob, the fish tacos, and lamb empanada.

The mojito I had was also very go, and I'm picky about how my mojitos are made so I was very happy that it came out so well. I see myself coming back here again, I am now a fan.

  4. Holy cow this is good food.

I came here to meet up with old co-workers to celebrate them finally quitting foster care casework – seriously do NOT go into foster care casework. I had the crispy chicken tacos, bacon wrapped dates toped with pecans sliced, guacamole with chips, short rib empanadas, and lamb empanadas. I got nothing fancy here to say other than all of the good is absolutely amazing. Every food item came with the correct sauce to add to the flavor. The tacos were topped with a fresh spring salad for even more crispness and much needed freshness.

    Eat here. Period.

  5. I had heard such good things about the food at Miti Miti, and I won't mention how often I've stopped by their table outside when they have free samples of the jalapeno lemonade. When I needed to find a place for Sunday brunch for 8 people, I knew it was the place to go. They take reservations, which took the hassle out of finding a spot in the ruthless world of Park Slope Sunday Brunch.

If, like myself, you find yourself missing the breakfast tacos from Taco Santo, look. no. further. Their breakfast tacos are great (and they have a nice variety of meat and veggie options), and the side of potatoes is well-cooked and the perfect portion. My friends ordered other dishes such as the Crossfit Scramble and the Nutella French Toast, and each item got two thumbs up. We didn't get any breakfast cocktails, but the coffee and tea made to order were perfect anyway. It took a little long to get said coffee and tea (we ended up getting our drinks at the same time as the meal), but the wait was worth it.

Our reservation was for 11AM, which is right when they open on Sundays. By the time we were leaving it was getting a little full, so while you might not need a reservation if you're going as early as we did, I recommend one for anything after 12:30PM or 1:00PM if you have a decent sized party. And get the breakfast tacos, all of you.

  6. So like I promised I came back here to enjoy the boozy brunch option.  And I am so glad I did. As before the brunch was yummy. I got the chicken and waffles again. My bf got the hibiscus pancakes which were so freaking delicious. We both went for the boozy option for an additional $15. They have a really good selection of drinks to choose from and you can mix and match. They have different flavor mimosas and sangrias. The lychee mimosa and green sangria were probably my fav.  Had a great time. Staff was great as usual.  Can't wait to return.

  7. I'm back…

Tried the classic margarita again – this time much better!  It's a Mexican spot so they have to get this right!

I also ordered the fish taco since I see good reviews.  My first bite impression- dry and lacking flavor.  Very disappointing.  I asked for pico de gallo to add flavor and that helped but it should taste good already.  It was $5.50 for one taco!

  8. You know you're a yelper when a friend text you asking if you want to hang out for a light dinner-you reply yes-they ask if you have a place in mind-you're like YUP *then logs onto yelp and search your bookmarks*

I THINK it was Percy, Letty, and Candace that raved about this place a LONNGGGGG time ago and I just had to get this off my bucket list!

I've been making my reviews so lengthy so I will keep this very short and straight to the point… I hope. Morgan was an EXCELLENT waitress who was full of energy and ready to serve. As I mentioned before this was meant to be a "light dinner" so I only had the lamb empanadas and shared the shrimp and chorizo mac and cheese. I've been craving mac and cheese for about 9 days and I swear this mac and cheese filled that void to the MAX! Silly me forgot that chorizo was pork but guess who ate it anyway? HANNNNNNNNN! The lamb empanadas were perfect. Something I never had before but I will definitely have again if they're all made this way. The décor here is fun and very Latin. They have a variety of drink and food specials for happy hour, which is great being that I personally thing this place can be quite pricey. However, the food is worth it so you seriously can't go wrong here.
