  1. Random hand drawn painting, three screens televising separate sporting events including soccer and something else that I cannot recognize maybe cricket?  As I walk in, the friendly lady behind the counter asks me what I would like.  I respond: A cappuccino please.  Then, I carefully inquire further for what baked goods are available with a smile. In her reply, she tells me sadly that there is only croissants.  So not being picky, I tell her: Great, I'll have one.

Next, she brings me a cappuccino on a glass saucer and my croissant on a dish.  Also, there are numerous napkins, sugar, long stemmed spoon given to me as well.  I felt like a sports lounge vibe with many tables and chairs (probably enough to seat 35 people at least).  Most demographic would be elders, mostly men, in their 40's to 60's kicking back and enjoying the hot, lazy afternoon.  It was around 3 pm and I just got off a flight.  Now, I know how the other half lives and it's nice!

  2. I had the best iced cappuccino of my entire life there. Hands down. (Like heroin but you won't lose all your friends … teeth..etc..) They have a GIANT projector and tons of screens, but the place has SO MUCH OLD-SCHOOL-ORIGINAL -BROOKLYN-PERSONALITY!!!! You might totally forget to watch the tv's.
I followed up with a 2nd Iced cappuccino (this time with chocolate instead of cinnamon. Now, whenever I go there I'll need to get one of each… or else it would be like "Sophie's Choice" )

If anyone wants to see what REAL Brooklyn is all about, this is the place. A highly amusing atmosphere in a good way. TONS of character.  (And unlike many old-school-cafes the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming!!)
Really, really cool place, a GREAT accidental discovery.
    Highly Recommend!!!
