A great family run business, "Caribbean Delight" offers, a full bar with a terrific drink selection and spectacular kitchen offering the greatest tasting blend of food all the way from the Caribbean, well so it says, but the locals know it for being a Guyanese kitchen with a Chinese chef who can whip up a great Curry, along with of course a mean fried rice, and pretty much anything else a Indo-caribean grandma cooks.
The place has screens showing the sports and has music playing for those who want to shake a bit but don't be mislead there isn't a dance floor, although hey in the spirit of being in a Caribbean joint you'll probably end up dancing a little bit anyway once you've had a little bit of drink in you…
Great place to go after spending the day out, to unwind get some chow down you before heading off home to retire.
Caribbean Delight… Yeah i'm a fan i'd do it again and again!
I first started to come to Caribbean delight in fall and the food was good. We even went as far as to recommending this place to friends and family. Up until my last visit that really had be disgusted. We ordered food around the time they closed. Very understandble if the girl could have mentioned it to us on the phone that the kitchen is closed we wouldnt have not came in . But upon our arrival the one girl who is always nice still remained nice but the other girl gave us attitude and told us that the food is not ready . Followed by we are closing and a couple eye rolls making it very obvious that we annoyed her. I'm not only disgusted but angry knowing that we bring her so much business. I honestly know 3 other friends who complained about the same employee. She makes you feel as if you are a burden or a bother. The success of a business relies highly on word of mouth and I will definitely end my business with this restaurant. Although we ordered many times before and travel from the Bronx and come to find out they gave us fish instead of chicken or mistakenly gave us someone else's order we never complained. I know she is very unprofessional so I am expecting a very disrespectful response which I don't mind because this shows everyone they business behaviors. Goodbye and good luck
This is a new place that just opened up and I wanted to ck it out. It was rather a small place but I went solely for the experience of learning more of the jamaican food fare. So the dimensions of the space was not an issue or important to me. The food was pretty tasty, authentic and the spices were right on point. I liked the curry dishes. My son liked the other dishes like the ox tails with rice plate. I would go back again because I found the place to be clean and the staff friendly to their customers.
The Ox Tails with rice is AMAZING!!! A must have 🙂
