  1. Oh I love this place and it's right by my house too. Apparently, it's rated to be one of the best bagels in Queens. I was doing some bridesmaid duties and helped pick up some bagels for the bride's family. They have a package deal for a dozen bagel (pick a mix based on your liking), a container of cream cheese and a package of lox. I really liked the bialy bagel. Originally, I was going to eat half of it and share the other half with the family. But it was just so good, I ended up eating the other half myself.

*Note to others: We asked how much the lox would normally cost if we ordered it alone and they said it was $11.99 normally. We found the same package at our local Key-Food for $7.99 a package.

*They also accept Fed-Ex packages too. Way to diversify your business!

  2. It's a cool little local bagel spot, the big perk is that it is 24 hrs. The outside is not really that welcoming or appealing, hell, the inside is not really that nice either but they produce a quality product.

    The food:

Toasted Poppy Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese- It tasted good but it was kinda weird, the bagel itself didn't have much flavor. Bagels usually have an inherent bagel taste, but I felt this was missing that. My toasted bagel was crispy and light, it kinda tasted like crispy air, it was so airy but I found it to be missing a good chew, something I feel every good New York City bagel should have. I did enjoy the flavor of the scallion cream cheese, though, it had a good hit of scallion flavor.

  3. Went in at 11pm on a Monday night to grab a dozen of bagels before I returned to Massachusetts. I have never met a bagel that I liked in Massachusetts.

A 24-hour bagel shop. Excellent concept! There was a group of young men in there and they had clearly been out drinking. They were all very courteous, just having a good time hanging after working up a good appetite for munchies. I wish I had an all night bagel shop in Chicago to go to when I was their age.

The young man behind the counter was straight forward, pro-customer. I wanted a dozen bagels, and started picking out what I wanted. He told me which ones were freshest and which ones have been sitting for a while. Thank you, sir!

On Mondays, they give you a free cream cheese spread with a dozen bagels. So, bonus!

Lastly, I wanted a Vitamin Water beverage. I had to do a double take at the receipt. They only charged $1.79 for what I paid $4.00 for in Manhattan. No price gouging here, rock on!

  4. I love love love this place. A 24/7 bagel and sandwich spot you can count on whenever. They're even open through storms and everything!

My favorite is the E9 on their special menu. 2 eggs, bacon, cheese and HASHBROWN. Oh god yes. It's so delicious every time without fail.

They have about 8-10 seats and it can get crowded around breakfast and lunch time but they're very efficient and worth the wait! They also have a wide selection of drinks and coffee and tea and chips and sweets. They even have scratch cards! C'mon what's not to love about this place.

  5. Wowza Bagel Oasis, you do not disappoint! I understand why you're famous, I get it, I do. Not to mention this is Scott Disick's favorite bagel place ever…for all you Kardashian lovers out there.

The bagels are FABULOUS. Perfect size, taste, and texture. Well done! Their oatmeal bagels are to die for. The service was super friendly and FAST, I was so surprised! The prices are cheaper than my other go-to bagel spots too! So why the four-star review? They don't have a quarter-pound side salad/cream cheese option, only a half-pound, but even with the extra quarter of a pound of cream cheese I got, it was STILL cheaper than other places.

A bagel oasis indeed, a haven, a dime, a perfect bagel spot.

  6. On most Saturday mornings my boyfriend and I stop by for our usual: french toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagels are the perfect consistency and they are very generous with lathering that strawberry cream cheese. They also have great coffee!

  7. My perfect bagel has to be crunchy but chewy. So unless it's fresh out of the oven, I always toast my bagels. I can only comment on the Cheddar Bagel, but I wasn't happy with it.

Cheddar Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese:
I ordered it for the novelty. I don't know what I was expecting, but I guess I was hoping the bagel would be infused with cheddar? Anyways, it's basically cheddar melted onto parts of the bagel. They don't toast the cheddar bagels, so you eat it the way it is, which really disappointed me. The bagel didn't have a nice crunch or soft chewy bite that I like. Secondly, I didn't think the addition of the cheddar brought much to the flavor palette. The bagels are a bit on the smaller size and the cheddar bagels aren't very thick. It's flatter than I expected. It was difficult for me to eat because it was a little oily. I just wasn't a fan. I ordered it with plain cream cheese and that was ok.

The reason this is getting 3 stars (because I personally rate this as a 2) is because my brother ordered bacon and eggs on a cheddar bagel as well. Unlike me, he actually really enjoyed his bagel.

If I'm coming back, I would personally avoid the cheddar bagel. I wouldn't rule out Bagel Oasis until I try another one of their bagels. But as of yet, they haven't won me over. I've had so much better bagels at places like the Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company.

  8. Sigh, We came here with high expectations but unfortunately the everything bagel with egg and cheese was very disappointing… The bagel was small and the dough was so hard!  Very quick service though!
