Stumbled across this little Italian restaurant with my mom on a Friday night. The restaurant wasn't very crowded but we opted to sit outside. We both had a glass of wine and a pasta dish. I ordered a shrimp fra diavolo and my mom had linguini with clams. We both enjoyed our dinner very much. The serving size was perfect – not too small but small enough to let us enjoy some bread before our meal arrived. Always looking for new restaurants to try, and Da Rosina does Italian right!
Nice solid Italian meal. Nothing fancy, but at 10pm on Sunday night we weren't looking for fancy. Mozzarella on Caprese was good, tomatoes clearly out of season. Veal Parm was good. Not great, but good. Service was attentive, but not overbearing, and they didn't make us feel rushed even though we were the last ones in the restaurant by the time we finished our meal. Was disappointed that they were out of both of my wine choices, but the substitute the waiter suggested was good.
All in all, not blown away, but definitely not disappointed.
Went here with an old friend. Great atmosphere and very clean. Friendly staff.
And my drinks were pretty strong. Food was as expected very delicious. No complaints.
The only thing as with all New York restaurants it's tight. But over all a great place for dinner. You will not leave un satisfied.
Best Italian restaurant! Great service and delicious food! Love this place! It was recommended by a local and we were beyond thrilled! Lasagna and sun dried cheese ravioli are delicious! We had to go back for a 2nd visit! You won't be disappointed if you eat there!
Wine is average and scaloppina not fresh.. Got also order wrong .. They bring u salmon instead of meat
I don't think you can get anymore authentic than this…the food was delicious and they treat you like family!
Food was very good here and the portions were just right (we didn't feel grossly stuffed like you sometimes do after a big Italian meal).
The reason why I give them three stars is the service and overall experience of the restaurant. After pestering us to order (the waitress came over three seperate times when we clearly were not ready) they never came back to check how the food was after the brought it to us. I felt like we had three different waiters/waitresses for the entire meal. We had to get the attention of the manager just to order a second round of drinks. It was a weird style of giving us a bunch of attention in the beginning and then never having a waiter come up to us again even though the restaurant was packed with workers.
We went for dinner before seeing a show on a recommendation from a friend. All in all a pleasant experience and would definitely go back.
Best thing about this place is the affordable fixed-price menu which allows you to pick any appetizer, entree, and dessert from the menu. The veal Marsala was decent and the cheesecake was…cheesecake.
It's close seating so be careful that your rear end doesn't knock over someone's Cabernet.
