Thai food is always the food choice when your party group is indecisive.
After an exquisite MET art touring, Bangkok Cuisine was the savior.
Interior design is really eye-pleasing, I love how they try to integrate a calm peaceful environment while enjoying their meals.
I ordered the Drunken noodle, definitely needed some spice to keep me warm from the cold winter night. Apparently it was really delicious since everyone couldnt stop grabbing bites!
Also ordered a thai ice tea, delicious as always. But i dont like the super tall glasses given.
Great service! We stayed almost till closing and they didnt rush us at all to leave
Beautiful interior and classy ambiance. I've had a number of dishes here:
Pad See Ew + Spicy Basil Fried Rice were great with big portions.
Sauteed string beans w/ garlic + sauteed Chinese broccoli were surprisingly really yummy even though they fall under the "Sides" and they're only $5 each dish!
The Garlic w/ Mixed Vegetables is yummy at $12 for an entree dish, cooked in the same way as the side veggies.
The 5 Star thai dumpling is very much like shu mai from dim sum.
And their young coconut juice is 10/10! The only place in UES where you can get it!
Also delivery is super fast and the guy is very friendly! This is my to-go thai place in the UES 🙂
Great spot for Thai food in Yorkville.
This has been a nice addition to the row of bars and restaurants on 2nd Avenue in the 80's. I noticed it for the first time on my walk home from the barbershop not too long ago. It peaked my interest so I decided to check it out with some friends, and we have been pleased with our experiences to date.
The restaurant features a small bar and lounge area in the front with seating primarily towards the back. It is very clean and the décor is aesthetically pleasing. There is a casual atmosphere and the service is friendly, which is quite welcoming.
They have a good drink menu, which includes specialty cocktails, wine (red, white, plum, and sake), champagne, draught beers (mostly American), bottled beers (mostly Asian), and an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. The cocktails are largely vodka, rum, or tequila concoctions. Although I prefer a whiskey or scotch, the ginger mojito is pretty refreshing.
The food is excellent. I have only eaten from the dinner menu, which is expansive. There is a large variety of appetizers, soups, salads, chef specialties, entrées, curries, noodles, and fried rice. Some of my favorites include the Thai dumplings, king crab Rangoon, mango avocado salad, volcano duck, BBQ chicken, and old fashion pad Thai.
Looking forward to my next visit!
My boyfriend, who really has no opinion on food, insisted on giving this place 5 stars–and I agree! We walked in after a long bus ride back from Boston around 11 pm, and was fascinated by the opulent atmosphere and decorations (I loved the fountain and the crystal-looking water goblets). Our service was prompt, filled up my glass very quickly (although perhaps came over too many times…better attentive than not though, I suppose). For the location and atmosphere, the prices are pretty good, with hefty portion sizes. My boyfriend loved his chicken pad thai, and mentioned that the chicken was cooked to perfection and the dish was flavorful without being greasy. I loved my green curry, and ate every spoonful of the perfectly spicy dish. Will be returning again and again, since it's right around our apartment!
This is a great Thai spot on the upper east side. They're open modestly late and they have beautiful decor. It's usually not very difficult to snag up a seat here and they have a great variety on their menu. The cocktails are quite good and pricing is excellent
Came here for a wedding celebration for my two friends. The food was really delicious, but it didn't come out very fast…like an hour slow :/
Once the food did come, it was very delicious! I got the shrimp pad thai & was not disappointed.
I think it was the party size that caused the slowness, so while I don't normally venture that far north, I will try it again when I'm up in that area.
Delicious! I went with my first choice, the Drunken Noodles, after reading many of the rave reviews here. My friend's Massaman curry was perfectly spiced as well. The servers kept our water glasses filled, and the decor was amazing. Loved seeing the wall waterfall, what a nice touch!
"Meh. I've experienced better." is exactly how I feel about the place.
The place looks nice but the food is sub-par to other Thai restaurants I've been. The chef must had dumped half bottle of salt into the dish. It was terrible. I wasn't given enough rice to balance it out and they didn't come by to refill the water during our entire meal. I might try a different dish if I were desperate someday and report back.
