Went for a bridal shower recently, and had a fantastic time. Looks like they have two floors, but the upper level is not being used for whatever reason. Our party of about 15 or less girls, were seated towards the back of the lower level, right behind the enormous statue and water display. It wasn't blocked off nor were were in a separate room, but it provided enough privacy to give us the sense that we had our own nook carved out from the main dining area.
The shower lasted for nearly 4 hours, maybe more, but I personally never felt rushed, and the service was excellent. They even extended the happy hour because our table of lushes could not get enough of those strong lychee martinis! The bridal party really did a great job decorating the space, and picking the menu. It was fun, it was beautiful, and the lovely bride appeared to have an incredible time. We had several appetizers (calamari and the thin spring rolls were outstanding), and a slew of main dishes to choose from. I almost felt like this was wedding-level cuisine. Then we topped it off with cake that the bridal party provided and homemade cupcakes and hand-dipped pretzels, too.
Everything went without a hitch and this was definitely one of the longest bridal showers I've ever been to, which was cool because it was a lot of fun. I only mention the time thing because, I've hosted a bridal shower where the venue only gave us a certain window of time, and they tend to rush you or else you get slapped with a fee for staying past that window. With this restaurant, I don't think there was any pressure to start and end the event on a pin-point schedule, they seemed very flexible. For semi-private events, I'd definitely recommend Qi. This is also great for a date spot, but be warned, it can get a little loud.. or was all that noise coming from us?! Man, those acoustics travel.
A solid 3.5 stars. Beautiful space! Gorgeous fountain in the middle of the space and a lot of cool dividers and and decorations that you really have to see. We easily made reservations here for NYE and is a great place for groups and the food is excellent. The staff was friendly, and they came up to us a lot when we weren't ready, and as it got busier, they were nowhere to be found. I can understand since it was NYE and all. We talked about ordering 2 orders of corn dumplings with the server, but didn't realized we had actually ordered them because one person in our party had not yet decided. We were surprised when the corn dumplings and the chicken/shrimp dumplings arrived, which we didn't order. They were both good, so we made it work. I had a classic margarita and my friends had the lychee martinis. The Thai ice tea here was perfectly blended. I definitely needed it to wash down the Spicy Holy Basil with beef. Not the spiciest I have ever had, but spicy enough to drink a couple of extra glasses of water. Check out the bathrooms and the artwork behind the glass. I can't wait to come back. HH everyday 5-7pm.
Great atmosphere! Fried calamari was the best. The food was pretty good. Very unique and portion had the perfect size. One thing, the Thai ice tea was really good however it was really really sweet. The restroom with the tub was pretty cool. Would come back here again!
It was 5:30 pm and we were in the DIY jewelry store across the street, hungry as we waited for Qi to open. The Asian workers sitting on the bench outside the darkened restaurant that should have opened at 5:30 for dinner told me that it was going to be an evening of lackadaisical service. Why, I wondered, did they take a reservation for 5:30 pm if they didn't want to open then? We had to eat and blitz back to Manhattan for a show. Thankfully, the food made up for the laid back, careless waiters. We had the fried calamari, lightly coated cumin dusted rings that were fresh and tender. The triple mushroom spring rolls were also tasty, albeit a bit bland without the pomegranate dipping sauce. The Chu Chee curry with seafood and young coconut was the best, bursting with spices and a healthy amount of scallops, mussels, three giant shrimp and veggies. We soaked our rice in the curry and slopped it up. The kingfish Teh Pho curry turned out to be a disappointment, the fish slightly overcooked and the curry bland. It was a hefty piece of fish and portions of food were good for all the dishes. None of the food marked spicy is truly spicy, the chu chee curry having a slight kick. Yelpers, you have been forewarned, skip the cream cake and pick the ice cream, as older sis had suggested but I had forgotten. The cake a small slice of hard, cold tasteless cake with a greasy tasting buttercream, not worth the $9 on the menu. We thought they hadn't had time to thaw it out. I wasn't impressed with the mango sorbet on the side either. It had ice crystals in it, as if sporting freezer burn.
Service at this place, as I expected, was spotty. One waiter was really pleasant. The other one could have been beaming back and forth from another planet, so inattentive he was. At one point, when they cleared our dishes for dessert, I had to ask the waiter to clean up all the crumbs from the spring rolls that were on the table and a few grains of rice. We were on a Groupon older sis had given me, but did that mean we deserved the street urchin service? Perhaps it was the Groupon, which I stopped buying a long time ago for restaurants since it often meant service with resentment.
Decorwise, the cavernous place is lovely, with ornate wooden statues, cutout woodwork, a fountain and an unusual bathroom. The darkness and quiet lend it a zen ambience. I am not sure how much it fills up because oldest sis had eaten here a few times and said it was never busy. Amp up the heat and whip your waiters into shape, perhaps? I liked the food, thought the décor was beautiful but am uncertain I'd return with such iffy service, not when Williamsburg abounds with Thai restaurants.

Firstly, they delivered insanely fast. I have no idea how they took my order, cooked it, got it to my apartment, got it up my stairs to me in 15 minutes. Totally unreal.
That said the food was extremely underwhelming. It was piping hot but the flavor was very bland. The chicken was sparse and chewy. That's another thing, this was not a lot of food for 11.50. There were a few shreds of chicken and a small amount of rice for a LOT of liquid. It was almost a soup.
I'll pass.

Bought a groupon and I was satisfied. The prices of the appetizers varied a lot so it wasn't worth it as a veggie head. I wanted to try the corn dumplings but stuck with the mushroom spring rolls which wasn't bad – it was crispy and not too oily but there was no wow factor to it. For my entree, I ordered the tofu pumpkin curry and I wasn't sure what to expect but I enjoyed it because I'm a huge pumpkin fan. There were chunks of pumpkin and chunks of soft tofu. The curry was watery but I added the rice directly in it so it soaked up. For dessert, we had the jasmine tea cake with green tea ice cream. We loved the green tea ice cream and didn't pay much attention to the cake because it was blah. We also ordered a Thai iced tea which was not saturated with condensed milk.
The service was turtle speed. It was not crowded and we were very hungry!

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. Interesting decorations, very artsy and unusual, it wasn't just your average restaurant. I came here on a busy Saturday night as a group of 4. Luckily we were seated very quickly.
The menu had a lot of good options on it. For an appetizer we had the BBQ wings which I thought had a delicious sauce and were cooked perfectly. For my entree I had the seafood noodle dish that I asked not be too spicy. Unfortunately it was very spicy! I managed to eat most of it though. It had a good flavor although it was too spicy for me to fully enjoy.
I thought the service was decent although they almost lost a credit card after we paid. The bathroom was another really unusual feature as the sink is a giant bathtub. I've heard this place has better prices for lunch as it is a little expensive for dinner but totally worth it for the experience.
If not mistaken this is supposed to be the town to have all the hip and cool spots. This place certainly has the looks but I just didn't feel it. I can definitely say the service was good, the water was kept full. Had little trouble getting the wait staff to come back if we needed something and were generally friendly. I decided to leave it up to the waitress helping us for my meal, I asked her to give me her recommendation. She told me the spicy crispy pork belly was the top entree. It sounded good so I went with it. It was eh. Was it spicy? A little bit. Was it crispy? yeah bit too crispy in some spots, but pretty average. It was a fair portion but nothing special for something touted as the best or most popular entree. The actual restaurant is nice, interesting bathroom set up. Bar and tables in nicely placed and cool decor. If this is what Brooklyn has to offer in the way thai, then it joins the long list of average restaurants out there, thai or otherwise.
