My wife and I had their Cap'n Crunch fried chicken sandwich at Vegan Shop Up today. If only we had stopped there. This could have been a four star review. But when Yeah Dawg couldn't get their act together we went back for a gyro and it was all downhill.

The gyro mock meat was leather. It could not be chewed through. My wife and I set it aside and finished out pita, sauce and vegetables which included a large portion of iceberg lettuce. I decided to mention to them how bad the gyro meat was. We had paid $9 and it should be brought to their attention.
I brought the actual discarded meat to them and told them that it was "solid as a rock." The woman I spoke to said "Oh I'm sorry," looked somewhat embarrassed but said no more. I should have asked for a refund but did not. What really disappointed me was that she didn't engage and show concern that she had sold someone inedible food. Give me a "can I get something else for you?" or a "here's your money back." But none was forthcoming and not wanting to make a scene at Vegan Shop Up, which should be all good vibes, I simply walked away.
