  1. 2 words come to my mind when flashing back to our post New Year's experience with this particular Starbucks ———- UHM NO.

Located in Midtown – East a few blocks from both Times Square as well as the Theater District, this place has proven by way of their possessing anything more than a 2 star review, that New Yorkers and Manhattanites –CLEARLY– need to up their expectations a bit.

Trotted into this subpar java bordello while passing thru, in route to catch "The Color Purple" on Broadway.

Admittedly upon walk in we were both taken aback by the open concept. This was by far the highlight of our experience. Ordered 2 relatively simple beverages and had the order repeated back to me a good 3x.

    * * * * IS ENGLISH NO LONGER SPOKEN IN NEW YORK?    —– Just curious.

After the order had been taken, corrected and confirmed – repeatedly, I attempted to remit payment using my mobile Starbux' app- and took quick notice that I needed to reload, handing the beyotch……..pardon me, I meant "barista" a $20,…. and it's as if doing such was a chore for her.

I was asked if I had anything smaller, AS IF there was a need for her to make change. SMFH. "Hello….. I'm loading it onto my account!" I swear, it took the strength of God to prevent pimp slapping the banana nut bread directly out of this chick!

I'm convinced it'd have been easier for me to have just contacted LA-Z-Boy on the spot, so that she could have not one, but –SEVERAL– seats!!!

Thereon, service went from pathetic to deplorable.

Yes. As of any Starbux', there was an obviously visible line. Yet this line grew immensely and consisted of just as disgruntled customers (as ourselves) all waiting amid an abyss of blatantly indifferent employees. We literally waited so long that I didn't even want the damned espresso any longer!

Once it arrived at the "bar side" of this place, where pickup is designated, we were unable to consume as there were NO STRAWS. A simple request or so I/we thought.

I requested 2 and the apathetic……..better yet, make that just "pathetic" broad behind the counter pointed as if, to reference the condiment counter, which was just as barren as the pick up counter.

    WTF?!?!?

Thereafter, the piping hot latte' was served without a sleeve; something I believe to be nothing short of unconstitutional! This request proved to be yet another feat and once the darned sleeve had been obtained, it was TOSSED AT US LIKE A FRISBEE!

    * Does my name look like Fido???

(exhales………..) That alone, compelled me to channel my "inner New Yorker". I tossed that thing back at this disgruntled chick rivaling Joe DiMaggio with my precision!!! Evidently this is what it took to evoke her epiphany whereas she apologized and handed it back civilly – but damn!

Is this how we're living, Starbucks???

~~ ~ ~ ~ ~  It's imperative that I present the following disclaimer: COFFEE SHOPS are typically the 1st point of contact for consumers within the tenure of their days. While its digestible that most of us are beasts upon waking up at the butt-crack of dawn each morning thereon to occupy our day putting in hours for "the man", the attitude of those providing us with our daily cup of Joe tends to make or (in some cases) BREAK our day(s) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

    – – – Had I not possessed some form of adequate home-training, I could've just as easily gone out (as some do) and set something afire or even worse,………gone postal from within my office. (Luckily I know better)

This into high consideration, fellow Yelpers, my recommendation is you keep on trekkin' when this particular Starbux' populates within your Yelp app-.

It's perceptible that these idiots could benefit from sampling their product PRIOR to selling it.

  2. Love this brand new Starbucks! Spacious and clean. Lots of places to sit.  The best part is they take the orders efficiently by using sticker labels; instead of scribbling random and absurd names on the cups.  Definitely will be coming to this location more often.

  3. I love this Starbucks.  I always stop here after I get noodles from Xi'an Famous Foods which is down the street.   This is a rather large Starbucks and is actually 2 levels.  The employees are always kind and always get your order right THE FIRST TIME.  Although they do get a lot of traffic they are rather quick with making your order.  It is a very calm environment and normally you are always able to find a seat.

  4. Frappuccinos and water always in hand!

This is seriously my favorite Starbucks of all times!

    I love it!

I always have to get Starbucks after a long day of shopping… so i stubbed to this particular one…glad i did…I wish i could go here twice a week! just because of the space and this place being so clean…. power outlets behind each seats…how awesome is that! wished all Starbucks was like this!

I always get a large green tea Frappachino when i'm here…don't know why…but Yum! its creamy… It's nice… and cool! It will cool you down! trust me! go have youself a frappy day! 😀

  5. Nice sized Starbucks with lots of seating. Some by the front, some off to the side, some in the back, and then a second level with additional seating.

The display case is clean and well lit. Everything looks good! Refrigerated foods and drinks are also displayed well and fully stocked.

My barista, Joel, was polite and friendly. He greeted me with a smile and a "good morning". When he called out my coffee order, another barista repeated it incorrectly and Joel promptly corrected him (in a nice way of course). I also ordered a danish which somehow came out of the oven a bit dry…? Still good though!

Other employees were zipping around making sure tables were clean and free of debris, garbage cans were emptied and the bathrooms were tended to.

Good way to start my morning
