This is a tiny shop located further down 8th Avenue. It may be small but they have many choices. The workers here are also nice.
My sister ordered the durian crepe and the cookie monster ice cream roll. Their thai rolled ice cream is better than 10 below's (at least compared to the last time I've tried). It is smooth and creamy, and the cookie portion definitely does not taste stale.
I didn't try the durian because I don't like durian…at all…but my sister and my dad said it was good. They said it's rich in flavor.
I tried their roast duck crepe, my mom tried their vegetarian crepe, and my dad tried their beef crepe. Of the three, I'd say the vegetarian and the duck taste the best.
I have a not so secret addiction to crepes, sweet or savory. I have passed by S& N over on 48th st. many times. When I saw that they opened this location over on 59th st., I thought it was about time I gave them a try. First, I just want to say that this location is more grab and go, which was fine by me since that was my intention. I walked in and skimmed the menu, decided on the seafood crepe (they'll ask if you want it spicy or not) and the fruit cocktail crepe. I sat down and waited for a little bit while they made the crepes and at first glance, I didn't think it looked that good…I was wrong. The staff was very friendly and handed me one of the crepes and spoke with me about the crepes.
She told me that their crepes are crispy and they use gluten-free rice flour. She also told me that the cream in the fruit crepe is sweet, but not overly sweet. Everything she said was on point, the crepe was just the right amount of crispy and left a taste of roasted rice? I don't know if that makes sense, but I'm saying it is a good thing. I tried some of the fruit cocktail crepe and the fruits were fresh and the cream gave it a nice sweet flavor/smooth texture. The seafood crepe was flavorful and the ingredients were very fresh as well. The prices are very reasonable as well, all under $10 and they're currently doing a promotion, buy 5 and get one free. Overall, a great lunch or dinner option and I will be back for sure! =)
