Unless you're picking your own produce out of the ground or off a tree, you can't find cheaper prices than California Farms (or as it's newly named, Fort Lee Farmer's Market.)
Sure, the aisles are tiny and it's not a fancy looking place, but the prices on fruits and veggies are absolutely unbeatable. I always shop here when I'm planning on making something with lots of fruits or vegetables, especially sangria (Wine King is right next door!)
Their refrigerated section contains your fluid essentials of milk, soy milk, water and juice. There's also a little cheese and tofu section, and a dry goods section that includes dried fruits and nuts.
The women behind the register are a little standoffish, they're very fast moving and business oriented; the man that works there is much more personable.
One negative review stated the produce wasn't fresh, but I've been shopping here for years and have never experienced such a thing. If anything, I'd say their produce tastes even fresher than that of typical corporate grocery stores.
If you live nearby like I do, and need to buy a bunch of fresh, healthy produce, check this place out. You'll be blown away at how much money you'll save!
Love this place! Been a fan for years and have never been disappointed. It is very small..especially the walkways in each section. It can occasionally get packed which can make long lines because they have only one or two check out stations, so I would suggest trying to go during weekdays or at night to avoid this. However, they have the freshest fruits and vegetables in the area. Prices are also reasonable for fruits and veggies as well and this place usually have good deals. The workers there are also funny and nice, especially Alex..he's the bomb and always helpful. They also carry other things such as different kinds of milk, eggs, bread, butter, nuts etc. They also sell fresh flowers, not the ones you see in other grocery stores that are pretty much dead. The location for this store is located in a shopping center which also has a HUGE parking lot..so that right there is never an issue.
