  1. Location: wow, why didn't i came here early!
    why?!
    why?!

this place is very unique compared to other place in the neighborhood.
I hate to say, but this place is full of white poeple. I am not against white people, it's just a sad feeling that the full of african-american people who are the dominant force living the neighborhood are unable to join this great place.

Food: I love all their stuffs
    I mean, try everything
    it's cheap, it's good, it's delicious

    service: very friendly

Overal: wil come back for a brunch

  2. Stopped by for an afternoon pick me up treat and tried the malted milk cappuccino. It was delicious, but at a hefty $6 price tag for a small cup. Would be interested in visiting again to try the food.

  3. It's such a shame that the kitchen is closed on Saturdays, because I would have loved to try the full breakfast. Coffee was pretty good, but the pastries are amazing! Early in the day it's a great place to get some work done, although it did pick up by around noon when I was there.

  4. I love this place! I came once and I'm sold.

First the service is a 10!  Service is hard to come by, they pull out all the stops here.  The staff is all smiles, friendly and attentive.  It feels like they love life and you do not see that often in cafes!! I'm so sick of stank attitude baristas so it was refreshing to see a friendly face and a smile.

It's very small inside so I sat at the bar.  The counters are beautiful and they give you water while you order.  I got a latte of course and a savory bun.  The latte was so creamy, warm and bold.  Amazing!  The savory bun was beautiful.  I haven't had a savory bun filled with spinach, cheddar like that before.  They have a seasonal menu and I'm sure to come back and try it.

The price is similar to what you find in other cafes.  Service means a lot  to me and they won me over with service alone.

  5. This is one of those places where you may encounter individuals who spend more time taking pictures of everything than eating or socializing.  Do not be afraid of them.

    Simple food.  Simple interior.  Brooklyn.

    Welcome to the hipster heartlands.

Keep your prices high and your portions small- widen the divide brought on to those foisted by the gentrification.

    ASIDE FROM THAT LOL um.

The food is fine.  Just fine.  It's one of those quaint spots for those that live nearby; you can just wake up, shower, and walk over to get a bite.  The cocktails are tasty, yes do try them- my favorite is the Gypsy Slipper.

You do not get your coffee here.  That is a sin in the Hipster bible- you must only get coffee at exclusive, coffee-dedicated establishments.

Females:  Tousled/wet hair, white shirt & no bra, Kinfolk in hand.
Males:  Plaid flannel shirt, beard well-oiled, man bun on point.

If you are not ready to assimilate, play the game Settlers of Brooklyn (look on youtube).

    Namaste.

    Live laugh love.

  6. I've been to Tilda, a quiet South Beach Art Deco gem on Fulton Street, three times and all of them left me feeling successful at choosing a breakfast champion.

The first time was magical. I walked in fearful of experiencing gentrification at its worst, and walked out a confident foodie prepared to face anyone or anything with a grin on my face and flan pastry (creamy, delicious, and filled with pieces of fruit) in my bag. The very pleasant, helpful and beautiful-without-makeup hipster cashier with the positive, running-this-place aura is contagious and should never take a break.

When she wasn't at the counter on my second Tilda visit, I freaked a tad. The man who seems to be standing there with her a lot helped me. I had the financier–a pineapple, basil moist pastry that I damn near drooled over at the counter. Food should never look that good. But at Tilda everything does, making my weight loss goals difficult to adhere to.

For my third Tilda trip, the happy-to-help cashier was there on her perch at the front counter. I smiled and ordered the morning bun–a delightful bun with an orange marmalade-like filling and a powder sugar avalanche-d top. So sweet and delicious! Everything you need to start the morning.

  7. Thanks to the work done by Yelpers, we were quickly able to narrow down our brunching choices to the main stars of this place. First off, the space is great, albeit small. Communal dining is the only option here– accustomed to by NYers like me, but strange to Jersians like the hubs. You have your usual hipster crowd– slouchy beanies, tees and jeans, thick frame glasses [insert hipster-attire here], man buns, etc

After taking a look at the plates around us, and hearing the sighs of disappointment when faced with a small "appetizer" sized portion and sarcastic remarks ("Oh, I'm going to be so full with this!" followed by friends defending remarks "Well, I've only been here three times"), we were very satisfied with our egg and bacon sandwiches. The bread was just toasted enough, yet still soft. The egg wasn't over or underdone, and the scallions really gave it that "spring onion-y" taste that pairs very well with egg (if you're not into onions, I'd steer clear of this dish) and the crisp of the bacon made it perfect. We ended up ordering the malted milk cappuccino with the bittersweet chocolate chip cookie. The cappuccino is just the perfect salty and sweet cup of delish. Each has a nice feathered heart swirl foam design atop the coffee, which is why they take awhile to come to the table. The cookie was very decadent. So yummy and rich, very salty, but in a good way. I had to take the remaining portion home. I was amazed to discover upon a closer tasting, that there are salted plums or prunes (?) in them which I think is what lends them that nice bitter rich flavor. It was definitely interesting. All in all, a great local Clinton Hill gem. Trendy, but doesn't stand out like a sore thumb amongst the likes of its surrounding Crown Fried Chicken, Caribbean and Nigerian neighbors. Great service too! Although the turnaround is fairly hectic, we didn't feel rushed or pressured to eat and bolt.

  8. Such a cute little spot! The interior is well lit and extremely charming. The staff was laid-back and personable. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed their delicious egg sandwich. The poppy seed bun was incredible, but it was the smoked paprika tomato spread that really made this sandwich great. I was sad they were out of avocado but the added bacon was still delish. We also both opted for their Bloody Mary. The mix was a little too thick and a little light on the vodka for our liking so we will probably skip that next time. Would definitely return for the egg sandwich!
