I really was in the mood for French toast and my favorite spot for French toast Buttermilk Channel had a wait of over an hour. Hence my husband and I decided to drive into the City to try this spot. We were pleased to find ample parking and there was no wait. Everything about our visit was delightful. The food was flavourful and the service warm and friendly. I hesitate to give five stars because the French toast serving was on the small side. I would love to see the portion enlarged. Other than that fantastic all the way. Be sure to try the French fries they are probably the BEST fries that I have ever had!
Very good place for brunch. At the first glance, the brunch seems to be expensive, $22 including a cocktail or OJ. However, the entree itself was actually more luxury than other places, and most of items here can not be easily found in other places. I had the crab meat benefit, it was really great flavor, balanced, delicious, fresh crab meat too, definitely one of the top things I had for brunch. Good taste of interior design, spacious space, so you can have a good time with your group, it can accommodate 6ppl for us easily, nice location in a more quiet block in Soho, OJ is fresh and tasty too, we had a good time .
My friend also ordered the duck confit, and the pie, we all finished, it's that good.
After showing my parents around Soho, we randomly came across Aurora Soho this past Monday, and decided to stop for lunch.
The good:
— Service is top notch. Our server was friendly and offered great suggestions. She was patient with my parents and their numerous requests!
— Food was delicious. My father and I really enjoyed the scallop special, my husband's pasta (I don't recall the name) was delicious. My mom had the lentil soup which she didn't complain about (always a plus!).
— Love the restaurant's décor. Very clean and welcoming.
The not-so-good:
— Food takes a really long time to come out. A really, really long time. I assume this is because they are making everything fresh but just be prepared for a wait.
— Complimentary bread is dry and not appealing.
Overall: We may return if we are in the area but I don't know if we'll make a special trip. Still, I highly recommend.
My friend and I were in town for the weekend and found this restaurant on yelp while looking for brunch options. We were not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the crab Benedict and my friend had the duck and waffle. Both were fantastic. Price was reasonable and waitress was extremely knowledgable, professional and engaged. Was very impressed by her. She was training a new guy and was doing an excellent job. If he follows her example, he will be great.
We went at 11:30am on a Saturday. We made a reservation on yelp but I don't think it would have been needed as it wasn't too busy at that time but it was picking up as we headed out.
The burrata fava bean was excellent, but my crab pasta was disappointing. The pasta was soft and the sauce was sour. Other dishes tasted good though.
I've been here for brunch as well as dinner. cute Italian place in Soho very good price is right and reasonable. I really enjoyed the brunch!
Great Brunch place!
My friend and I made a reservation for a Sunday morning, we love the area (West Broadway)!
Their brunch menu has a lot of awesome selections, we ordered:
1. Mushroom and Bacon
the bacon is not sliced bacon, it's more like a whole pork belly, thick and fatty and really good. The mushroom and cheese on top of the toast were so good, i absolutely love the mushrooms!
2. Crab Benedict
It was really good, they had a lot of crab meat and avocado, definitely recommend!
The brunch menu is $22 including an alcoholic drink (Mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary etc)
We had the Bellini, and it was really really good!
Love the ambiance and love the fact that they take reservations!
Will definitely come back!
Cute place, good brunch menu. The duck with waffle was very good. Don't give it a 5 star because they messed up with some orders but the food was good.
