A friend told me abt this steakhouse so we decided to come here and try. The restaurant staff was friendly and decor was nice. We all ordered a steak and pasta dish. I thought the steak only tasted alright. Felt like the steak was slightly dry and not as juicy as i had expected.
Friends birthday celebrated here! We were all craving for some steaks house and decided to try it out here but we ended up ordering else things. We ordered the salmon, turkey(specials that day) and another type of fish. Keep in mind the food portion is big. We were all not able to finish our plates with one appetizers ordered before hand. Food was beyond my expectation and was delicious. Our staff made sure we got way we needed and ended the night perfectly with 3 deserts to share and one with a candle lid for my friend.
Ps: they have valet parking which is great because it gets extremely busy on bay ridge all the time. Unless your lucky to find a spot beforehand.
Walked in and were greeted by a lovely staff… Sat down and server came right over. Bread and some house made pepper cream jam (it seemed like), yum. Ordered a Guinness- very fresh.
Drinks came right away.
Calamari w/zucchini as an app- super tender calamari and exotic crispy, thinly sliced fried zucchini on top. Great app. Very unique and the sauces were so fresh and tasted like homemade marinara. They gave us more when we asked- such great staff and owner.
I order filet mignon- cooked perfectly. Asked for jam and blue cheese dressing on side, glad I did because the filet was so tasty didn't even need the extra sauces. Soooooo good and cooked perfectly!!! I asked for med-well to well I like cooked well meat but still tender and they managed to cook it perfectly. I'm impressed. Doesn't happen easily.
Husband ordered t bone which he said was cooked perfect for him, too. As for sides- incredible, crispy, yet smooth on the inside home fries. Wow. Also spinach tossed with Vidalia onions. They weren't stingy with the sides either. Such a great place.
Too full for dessert.
5 stars- if I could give more I would.
The owner is doing a great job! Keep it up. Great staff, server was on point and so were the bus boys, great food, great quality, clean, friendly. We will hands down be back soon.
The only little annoyance is that they don't take reservations unless it's 5 or more. I would've like to come a little later if they took a reservation. Oh well can't be perfect but this place is pretty close to it!!!!
Very decent.
Bread is served with a roasted red pepper spread. Not bad, but I personally prefer a little seasoned EVOO or butter.
Chilled Maine lobster salad with corn relish had great flavors, fresh lobster, nice presentation.
Other appetizers ordered by the table were equally well received.
Dry aged Porterhouse for 2 with two sides for $72 is a steal. I will say that the steak was served bone dry, no butter, not even in its own juices, and it lacked some flavor I've come to expect. Slightly overcooked too. Home fries and spinach were both very good sides, nice portion sizes too.
Pork Chop and Filet Mignon were also ordered by the table, and they looked really tasty. Nice presentation as well.
Warm truffle chocolate cake with ice cream was nothing out of the ordinary, but when you're warm truffle chocolate cake with ice cream, being ordinary is still pretty damn good.
Creme Brulee was the size of a small village.
Service was on point, bunch of classy gentlemen servers.
Oh, and there's valet parking, which is so clutch in this area of BK…
I think that just about sums it up.
A genuine delight!
The T-bone steak is mouth wateringly excellent. The home fries are crispy and perfectly seasoned, with onions and peppers.
Everything about this place is top notch, from the napkins to the wait staff. It made for the perfect date night for my fiance and I.
It is suitable for someone with a gluten allergy, if you notify your waiter when ordering of course. It was a bit difficult to suffer through the smell of the complementary bread… My fiance says it is the best hes had in a long time. I believe him, from how amazing it smelled.
I had lots of leftovers.
I felt that the prices were very reasonable for the excellent quality of the food.
Highly recommended!!!
Attended a bridal shower here and the food was delicious. First, we had bruschetta, pasta and side salad for appetizer. It was good and believe or not, I was getting kind full with just appetizers. For entrée, I had salmon with seasoned vegetables and potatoes. The salmon was a large nice size piece and seasoned perfectly and they drizzled some dressing (didn't catch the name when the waiter mentioned). The meal was greatly paired with their red sangria. I was a little disappointed that they didn't serve white sangria, which most restaurants do.
The place is small. I guess the bathroom door surprising passed restaurant standard for NYC business. It's definitely not handicapped accessible. Parking is valet. We were lucky to find parking off street at arrival so I can't review their valet service.
I wandered in here underdressed on a Saturday night about 9 PM. That being said, I didn't feel like we got too many looks. There are two rooms and one was pretty noisy so they placed us in the more quiet (empty) room. We received really great service from a server who was attentive without being intrusive. Everything about this place was very high caliber. Nice white table napkins, bread with infused olive oil on the table. The olive oil is definitely a high-quality. I know it to be a steakhouse so most of us ordered steak and did not regret it. I had the fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection. It came with a blue cheese sauce on top, bacon jam and asparagus. While I am not a fan of blue cheese I decided I wanted to order it the way the chef intended right off of the menu. Next time I probably would not get the blue cheese because it was a bit salty.
For appetizer we had the crab cakes and I was really impressed. The waiter said an order usually has 2, but he gave us a third on the house since we were 3 people. Although I could barely finish my steak we were tempted to try dessert. The option sounded amazing and we opted for the lava cake which was an amazing option. All in all I had a great time and really affordable compared to the steakhouse in Manhattan. For about $35 it was a really high-quality steak. I also like that they have wine that comes in what they call a "split" which is 375 mill, A perfect size for two people – it is about a half of a bottle. It is also the J Lohr, which is a wine that I love. Definitely a classic old school steakhouse and hidden gem in the neighborhood.
For years and years I have drove, walked and skated by Chadwicks never once stopping in for food or drinks. Why? I have no clue but boy am I kicking myself in the booty for it now.
As my friend and I were strolling around the neighborhood hungry we passed by Chadwicks. It dawned on me that this place must have been open for so many years for a reason. So finally we gave it a try. When the server read me the specials my face lit up. They had beef wellington. My god how I love beef wellington. Unfortunately it's so hard to find because it's such an old school dish. So I ordered it. It was amazing as well as their crab cake appetizer. I have to say it was one of the best crabcakes I've had outside of Maryland.
I'll be back real soon. I have much lost time to make up for.
