  1. I wanted to be adventurous today – so I went on yelp, typed in my zip-code and "Lunch" and this was the first place to pop up! The reviews looked great, so I wanted to see for myself what this was.

When you walk in, you will see a coffee shop to your right and the lunch place to your left. I went at around 11:20 and there were maybe 1 or 2 people besides me. So there was no wait! I already had my mind made up with what I wanted to get – the Turkey Club for $9.25 (smoked turkey, pork bacon, pepper jack cheese, avocado mayo, tomato and romaine on sourdough). The sandwich looked smaller than I had anticipated (perhaps because I was so hungry), but later found that it would do the trick to fill me up. The sandwich was really great – but I guess everything that has bacon is defaulted to be great.

I would assume this places could get pretty crowded as you approach noon, so be prepared!

The place had 1 or 2 tables to sit, but it is obviously not a place you would want to come to eat in.

  2. Extremely disappointed at my Experience and Order yesterday (July 19th ~12:15pm)

I came in before a rush, only several people there, but within 10 minutes there were 10-12 ppl. They ALL received their food before me, even though I ordered first, waited more than 15min. Terrible service. I ignored it because I remembered the food was excellent last time..

Ordered a Chicken Finger Wrap with Goat Cheese, Red Pepper Jelly, and Arugula $10. A "Simple" Order, no way to mess it up:
    – FORGOT the red pepper jelly
    – FORGOT the Arugula, I got a scant leaf of something else
    – 2 goat cheese morsels were packed in on the ENDS of the wrap (?????)
    – APPALLED at the portion I received – it was barely bigger than the size of 2 mustard packets, the entire thing fit in the palm of my hand
    – AND the smaller half barely had any chicken

I was left starving and had to buy a second lunch that day. I seldom give 1 star. What a downgrade from last time.

  3. A solid sandwich place with delicious meat options. If you want something quick, easy on pocket, meaty and compact but yet filling this is the place. Its easy to miss since its covered in scaffolding and on first glace it would look like a grocery store. Peek inside and you will see line of hungry customers waiting for their turn to order and leave the place. This is not a sit down place to eat. Make your way to the far end of the counter while getting lost in the zillion options listed on the over the counter board. I always want to build my own sandwich but by the time i reach the point of sale, I forget what all I wanted on my sandwich and then end up picking their weekly sandwich which by no means is mediocre. All the items that I have tried so far have been spot on and what my expectation was. They also give you an option of choosing a coleslaw or a pickle with your sandwich. Its good to get a pickle to counter the meaty taste and have a complete experience which tickles all taste buds. I end up coming here at least once a week. Great spot! Fast service and plenty of options to choose from.

  4. I am happy I tried this deli. I read Yelp reviews and it seems they were true. This place is set up as a deli so there isn't much seating. Luckily I went a little earlier so my friend and I were able to get seats at the high top table.

I chose to make my own salad which include romaine lettuce, cucumbers, onions, dried cranberries and chicken. It was very good and the portion size was pretty decent. It came out to about $9 and change.  My friend got a chicken Caesar wrap and she said it was delicious and here was only $7.

For everyone who is excited about the free pickle and coleslaw taster if your meal is over $7… it is self serve where you pick up your food. I unfortunately did not know and missed out, but next time I go I will be sure to get it!!!

  5. Not a fan of their latte, the espresso tasted a bit burnt.

Also, I've been ordering almost the same sandwich each time I've been here, but yesterday the cheeses were still cold even though I asked for the sandwich to be pressed (never run into that issue before).  I did reach out to CS per the card they've been leaving in your brown bag and David said to ask for it extra pressed in the future…mmmm ok.

  6. I had their Pastrami Sandwich with Hot pickle & Coleslaw.

This place is a nice, smaller shop with the building it is in undergoing repairs.

The sandwich was really quite good! It was a little smaller than I hoped for, but such is life.

Definately choose here over the Lenny's not too far away.

  7. Yay, a fresh and delicious sandwich spot near my office. They have "classic creations" or you can build your own. This goes for sandwiches AND salads.

Prices vary depending on what you get.

I had the hot pastrami sandwich for $12. Perfect size for lunch. Dare I say it is better than Katz's?

For orders over $7 you get your choice of slaw and pickle (self serve).

  8. A craft deli in my little work food desert — hooray! This little gem sits on the cusp of LIM college. When you enter, the right side is the coffee shop, and the left is the newly added sandwich shop.

    Sandwiches:
It's easy to walk in, look up at the extensive menu, and feel overwhelmed. I wasn't wearing my contacts (Surprise, surprise. I love to walk around blind), and just stared for an awkward amount of time.

My first time, I tried their special sandwich of the season, "The Burn." Panini style with rye bread, spinach, swiss, and turkey pastrami. Pretty delicious, although I wanted some sort of condiment to meld all the ingredients together.

    Build your own…
    Here's the "Gina K."
Wrap w/ gluten-free chicken fingers (love the nutty taste of the gluten-free), arugula, goat cheese, red pepper jelly, hot peppers and tomatoes. I like to get it pressed.
+ Spicy Pickle (to spice up your life) + vinegar coleslaw (to cool you down).

I'd suggest playing around with their multitude of ingredients and creating your very own sandwich. If you're not so good at curating ingredients, then try a menu item.

Every sandwich (above $7) comes with a choice of a pickle (three options) and cole slaw (mayo, vinegar or spicy). The sandwiches are on the smaller side, but packed with quality ingredients, so I don't mind. Don't come if you're ready to eat your foot… try another day.

Coffee: I can't say anything stands out as far as their roasts go. Their specialty drinks are also average-on the boarder of bad. For instance, I tried their Chai Tumeric Latte. Don't try.
The one thing we do have in this area is coffee, so they have tough competition. They seem to have a variety of baked goods with some Dough donuts (which I could rave about for a long, long time).

You could potentially sit to stay (they have one long table and a few window seats), or take it to go. Very friendly employees.
